Sad to miss the Regency shows, but was visiting mom in Sac, and gratefully DSO came to where I was!

My first Jeff show, love his new guitar, and still have great memories of this Cal Expo show. Outrageous fun in a small theater last night, smoking Playin - soulful Doll.

beautiful theatre

glad to go back again

small private party

Eaton occasionally doing some amazing things

show was much tighter than SF shows

actually musically better in many ways but.....

knew it would be an

80's show with - what?

no Brent?

I wait all night for filler (SF filler some of the best of the weekend!!!!!)

only one song with Lisa on back up vocals only?

no Kevin songs?

come on Eaton you think I want to hear only you and Jeff sing all night long?

wrong!

now not going to Tahoe

was planning to but .....

we will see what Vegas brings

Ya know I love ya Ellen, but I think you're being a little too bitchy... 84 happens to be one of my favorite years, and just cause there was no Kevin, or Barraco doesn't mean that Eaton was on an ego-centric vocal trip... picking those shows for the tour books can not be easy. Especally when this tour is about playing shows that were played in the area, then you're trying not to repeat any era that you've done before in that town, as well as not repeating songs that you played there last, or the night before, or the following show..

You have every right to voice your opinion on how you felt the show was, but I think it's a little disrespectful to lambaste Eaton on which show was picked for that show. I hate to tell ya, but JK isn't coming back, and I for one am quite happy about that fact. Sometimes change is a bit hard to embrace, but it is what it is, and I for one think JM is doing one helluva job, and taking the music to a new, different, and better level then JK ever could. Just my .02... No one ever gets the show they wanted all the time when you see DSO, its just the way the ball bounces...

Go to Vegas, and if it doesn't do it for ya, then I'm sorry... I, for one, am extremely excited to get to The Belly Up, and no matter what they play, I'll be happier then a puppy with two peters...

Guest crazy digits

I think we should all be grateful for what we have and not what we don't have...truth be told, I get tired of certain people bashing JK as well...stop the negativity, please..

Valid point, Bix. I think a heartfelt opinion from a board member who has definetly earned her stripes is bit more palatable than "furthur sucks balls."

thanks for your permission for me to have a dissenting opinion there King Herd

I went to 50+ shows in 84 you donkey

so I know from where I speak

some years I got 30+ DSO in and I live out west

so I have done my bit

I never mentioned JK

I am talking about what we got here now today

I don't want JK to come back thank you very much

lets have some real discussion about what has really happened to this band

I accept the change

but refuse to swallow it whole

I don't like Phish either

or Widespread or String Cheese

do I need to go on?

I love you Herdy but

we move from different places

I am a dancer

you are not

if I ain't dancing then nothing else matters

enjoy the Belly Up

I did last time

i think it goes like this......

we can dance if you want to,

we can leave your friends behind,

cause your friends don't dance,

and if they don't dance,

then they're no friends of mine

Im not getting this part of your post.... I love me some Phish, and I like Widespread... not much of a Cheese fan, but still don't get the point of that part of your post...

and....

Just cause I'm not in your spinner club doesn't mean I'm not a dancer.... I've left many, many, many shows sweaty from dancing... everyone expresses their body language different when it comes to music....

and thanks... I will have fun at the Belly Up!! :)
