Tyler
RUN! to the DSO catalog at LiveDownloads.com. [No, this is not a commercial or an ad. I am just trying to spread the word.] Seriously. The stuff is simply incomparable. The performances are all 'barn burners.' Rob Eaton's mastering of the recordings is typically superlative. (Thanks so much for your efforts to give us access to so many gems, Rob!). The band set the prices at a very fan-friendly level, almost every show can be had for less than $10 (mp3 version). Call me crazy, but I just treated myself for the holidays to 31 shows for just over $200 total!! (It's hard to buy just a few when they are all so great!!). Any show can be sent as a gift download to friends, family, whoever. And lest I forget, livedownloads is having a 25% of everything sale through November 30th!! You can download most DSO performances in mp3 for just $6.71 a show! If you are looking for a start with the older releases I recommend April 20, 2005. More recently, check out the entire February monster run of Europe '72 set recreations that were the first sustained showcase for Jeff's immense talent, passion, and seemingly-effortless transition into the lead guitarist spot. Hearing the fruits of such devotion and love as this band gives to this music is worth every penny, especially for shows you couldn't make in person. Personally, I can't get enough of these recordings and all the unique moments of joy they impart every time I listen. This is a great way to support the band's work, outside of going to shows, plus you get to have these rich soundboard recordings to listen to for a lifetime. And of course, eternal thanks to all of the band, crew and family for bringing us all these wonderful and brilliant performances. See you at New Year's! Tyler
HMMMMM, the kid in the candy store splurge on 31 recordings neglected to consider that this would be an all day undertaking to actually download all 7 gigs worth... Not bad considering what it would take to get anything close to recordings like this in the old days of GD tape trading, working lists/blanks/postage@10 XLIIS90's or 90mDATs per jetpack over weeks and months and years with hours and hours of labor doing the dubbing (at listening speed), labeling, packing, shipping, list updating and mailing, yadda yadda yadda...in then end no guarantees of getting anything near the highest quality recording. Thanks again big time, Eaton! You do God's work for all of us out here, more happy and sane through this healing music.

topher44
These recordings are gems, and we can't thank Rob enough for all he does to ensure we have these available for our lifetime of pleasure. I cherish every one I have downloaded, and look forward to the next one with child-like glee. And I also realize that, while I would love to grab every one of them, I must be fair to my wallet and dole them out to myself slowly. My next one will surely be Burlington, as I have read many a positive review of this outdoor show on Lake Champlain. Topher
