Guest Lisacat
To the band and crew: I am a day early in my post, but being that its Nov 11th somewhere, I figured now is as good a time as any.... I just wanted to thank you all for all the music and memories. I've been around the playground now for 5 years (as of Nov 19) and I somehow within that 5 years, realized I was a deadhead, learned to dance (well besides my 10 years of dance class) , and moved to California. I could go on forever about everything I am grateful for because of all of you. It may all stem back to the Grateful Dead, but without all of you, there would be no Grateful Dead for me. I was not around for Scott, but I can say I've had the pleasure of being here for 2 different keyboardists and 3 lead guitarists, if you count the 1 Stu tour. And you all are shining brighter than ever. I wish you all the very very best and many more years of beautiful music ahead. Thanks for all you have given us. Enjoy your break and Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see you soon! love and blessings, Lisacat We've been through some things together With trunks of memories still to come We found things to do in stormy weather Long may you run. Long may you run. Long may you run. Although these changes have come With your chrome heart shining in the sun Long may you run.

Forum MVP August West Posted November 11, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 It was May of 2002 I was walking down the boardwalk in Ocean City....as I passed the Music Pier I saw that Dark Star Orchestra was playing there that evening. I had heard of DSO through the Dead circles but had never seen them. So anyway I went... and I haven't stopped going since. Alot has happened in my life over the past 8 years... and I am forever grateful for the lifelong friends that I have made from attending DSO shows. I love DSO. Its way more than just a band. Thank you for enriching our lives. Mountain high, river wide So many roads to ride.

topher44
To the band and crew, HAPPY 13th ANNIVERSARY !!! ... and I hope you are all enjoying your well deserved break. Having only jumped on the bus in late 2008, I find myself looking forward to each future show more and more. In fact, I'm not really a numbers guy, but I do count the days off my calendar till the next one... for me, it will be the Wellmont in Montclair, 47 days left The feeling I get from you on stage, as well as from most folks in the audience, is as close to the feeling I used to get while attending Grateful Dead shows, but much more intimate, up close, and not full of anxiety about dealing with swarms of cops, obnoxious security, and sticker shock pricing (especially in the GD's final years). Please keep on doing what you do best, and we will ALWAYS be there for you !!! Topher
