Dark Star Orchestra played to a stoic crowd, but there were pockets of dancers here and there. The show they did was: 11-28-80 Lakeland Civic Center Arena, Lakeland, Fl.

1: Jack Straw, Peggy-O, Rooster, Tennessee Jed, Passenger, Deep Elem, L. L. Rain> Deal

2: Stranger, To Lay Me Down> Let It Grow> Terrapin> Drumz> NFA>... Black Peter> Sugar Magnolia E: U. S. Blues w/Ripple filler

Gotta be the first time I've seen these two words used together in a description of a Dead / DSO crowd. Maybe they were just frozen - it is cold as shit in Minnesota already right? Looks like a jammin' set list. Love the Passenger, Deep Elem and the NFA into Black Peter, sweet!

Killer show!!! Was fortunate to have front row seats at what turned out to be an interesting venue. The place had the feel of a High School Auditorium .......crowd was a mixed bag (not surprising I guess for an all ages show) . Only bummer was that security initially shut us down on dancing.... a few of us started shaking are bones at the the onset of Jack Straw and were immediately told we needed to sit down :( . Apparently there was a bit of confusion with some of the staff but things got straightened out halfway through Peggy-O and they allowed us to cut loose.

The band was tight........Rob was on fire!!!!! Out of hand Stranger......ripping Passenger.....classic Terrapin.....To Lay me Down and Deep Elem Blues were nothing but a a bonus........

Looking forward to tonight's show in Minneapolis.........

Love the Jack Straw and Peggy-O outta the gate. Deep Elm with a LLR>Deal to boot. That second sets gives you a little bit of everything. The TLMD>LIG>Terrapin passage is as good as it gets for me. A Black Pete by Jeff is money - He owns those ballads. Looks like a nice intro to the tour. Maybe the planets will allign for Madison....work ok...spouse...not down. Should I dispense with marital harmony in favor of strong discord to catch this show? Will Madison be the one that I will be shamed to miss? 1970 marathon in the works? Help....

marry a deadhead,then there s never a problem

A bit too late now. Maybe in my next life I will take that fork in the road.

I have chosen household decension....here I come Madison! It will wear off until the next time I do it. Over time, uninitiated foot and back rubs usually tips the balance of power back to my camp. Small price to pay since I still love my wife.

I know Madison will reward me for my sacrifice....
