vbf3
What a great nite. Without a doubt the finest Jack Straw I have seen to close a first set since the Carrier dome circa 1985, or thereabouts. Looking forward to the next time!!! Forum MVP nwnj steve Posted October 3, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 It s absolutey getting ridiculous with whats happining here ,just when you think it can 't get any better Wham -o you get freakin smashed right in the head with an insane elective set list. To lay me down was performed so spectaculer words can not even discribe it ,the same for most the songs last night ,two souls & my fave of all time ,if i had the world to give ,There is so much emotion coming out of Mattison when he sings this types of tunes that there was only one other person that had that capabitity and he's gone .The one thing that j.m. does is that I get feelings that he is playing these tunes for just for us .I used to get that from jer no matter where I was in a venue he was playing to me &Jeff has that magic. Thank u dso for what you people are doing .It seams like the most incredible times are happining in your careers right now. Can't even believe I'm considering the west coast ,new years is to far away.

dancin on a pin
I confer what's next. Energy filled night with a gorgeous set list. First set started strong and ended stronger. Tears during To Lay Me Down, simply exquistive. Here Comes Sunshine was a treat. Jack Straw, that holds so much emotional baggage for me was ripping. Lazy Lighting /Supplication loads of fun. Second set WOW!. Two Souls brought me to a spiritual place that I am honored to experience. The kazoo on Lindy was smokin, thank you Lisa. Drums had me dancin, space was just that. If I had the World to Give is such a beautiful love song. Ending was kick ass, I sang Hey Hey Hey Hey Hey all the way home. I spoke to many people last night who were amazed by the music. Some have never seen DSO others have never seen DSO with Jeff or limited exposure to it. All were very happy and sorry the tour is over. I told them they need to hop on the bus at the beginning not the end. Of course there will be next time and I know I will be there. I had a fantastic tour many great shows, many great people. I miss those who were not there and wish everyone could be at a show again. Surprise me for New Years, you all know who I mean. Thank you DSO, all of you have a peaceful and restful time home. Brian NJ
Last night show was spectacular I thought the first set was a great pick of songs played in a way only DSO can play them. The second set blew me away!!! The Help-slip-franklins was incredible to say the least and when you think that can

Forum MVP August West Posted October 3, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 No mention of the Sunshine Of Your Love jam into the Help On The Way to start the second set.???? Mattson and Barraco started teasing it then it just sort of evolved into something more.
Forum MVP John A Posted October 4, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 What a great nite. Without a doubt the finest Jack Straw I have seen to close a first set since the Carrier dome circa 1985, or thereabouts. Looking forward to the next time!!! You must be thinking of 10/20/84 - great Jack Straw indeed. Man does the 2nd set of this elective just look wonderful. Kudos to DSO for helping undo the Dead's injustice of only playing "World To Give" 3 times...
