My little brother is still in school down there and called me to let me listen in on the muddy river encore and even that sent shivers down my spine. Good to see DSO is back in Charlottesville after a mini hiatus after the closing of Starr Hill. For those of you who haven't been to Charlottesville, its quite a place...just graduated from UVA last year and miss the area a ton.Would love to hear the band members take on the area...I vaguely remember seeing a picture of the band at Monticello during one of their previous stops there. Looking forward to the Blooz Cafe next Monday....
Guest crazy digits
...was at the original two shows back in 87'. A lot of folks didn't show up for two great shows in one of the smallest venues the GD played that year? Rumor had it there wouldn't be a lot of tickets, maybe that is why? Attended these original shows as well. In fact, the transmission blew outta my car at an exit about 30 miles south of Roanoke, so we left it at a gas station and hitched up to the show and came back 2 days later to tell the gas station guy I'd be back for it in a few weeks. College.......... gotta love it!!! These were two smokin' shows. One of my favorite Comes a Time ever!!
Guest Ammagamalin Crew
Also at the originals, doing the whole summer tour that year. They also played the civic center indoors at Pittsburg during that summer breaking out the first GD Heaven's Door (out of space). I remember thinking, "Well, here is another JGB song going to GD" That Scarlet Fire in Roanoke had the crowd in cheers beyond the usual. So many pretty women in Virginia! DSO once again keeps the spirits soaring!

Guest Ammagamalin Crew
I did most of that tour except rochester, starting in ventura I believe? walstib Did ya venture up to the wonderland? Most of the songs there seemed to be related to the border check into Canada. They had found paper squares in my girlfriend's purse that her friend had put in there at Alpine without telling her, we were as shock as the border patrol guy when he found them after searching my car for over an hour. He let us go reminding us of the dangers of going to another country and he didn't think we could afford the costs of the arrest after seeing we were living on grilled cheees and 2dollar crystal profits. I didn't let my guard down until Jerry went into China Doll and then the shakes came on, however, he reassured me "it's only fractured, just a little nervous from the fall" then they blew into a Fantasy for further reassurance to me that we were all safely in the fold of a show, however the mounties after the show cleared us all out of the lot quickly, we were high as a kite trying to navigate canadian roadways and get back for Rochester. We had gone to the wrong lot when first getting into Canada and ended up at a Huey Lewis concert parking lot, (not the wonderland) I said to Gina "I think we are at the wrong place" we then ended up finding the wonderland parking lot with everybody already setup.
