Please tell me that NYE will NOT be in Colo. this year. Railroad Earth just announced 3 nights at the Ogden. Don't make me choose.

I guess the Fillmore on 12/11 (Saturday)...not yet announced. I like your thinking for New Year's though. Enjoy !

Since when did Starheads begin sounding so entitled?

its easy to understand why people are upset to see this.....I myself am sad to see DSO is not playing in a place that is safe, GA (not 100% sure about that), and has hotels within walking distance. BUT this is not up to us, and the band is going to choose the place that is best for them. The venue selection does not change the music (ok...maybe sometimes when it comes to the energy factor and the ability to exchange from floor to stage but I'll let that go).

I'm sure the band too would love to play in a place thats warm and beautiful but perhaps those places over NYE won't have the draw like the NE does.....

I'll just say this....if you are going- I'd suggest making sure you have cab rides secured for after the show. The Keswick a few years back was an absolute nightmare and it would have been even more of a nightmare in Bridgeport. Freezing to a hypothermic state is one thing, freezing to a hypothermic state while fearing for your life is another.

Looking forward to seeing where they are playing the 2 nights prior because I will be at those for sure....

Fair enough...

I was reminded of that quote from that uber famous book by Dr. Carlson that I don't have memorized but that I found via Google:

"Whenever we are attached to having something a certain way, better than it already is, we are, almost by definition, engaged in a losing battle..."

Peoples' favorite band is playing NYE, with a lineup that most here seem to being going apeshit over, with set lists sent straight from Shangri la....

...but I get it...it's just a little griping...and a message board is a good a place as any for "engaging in this losing battle."

Plus, I'm one to talk.

I just thought this sort of engaging was designated for "Other Bands" section. :)
