Awesome show, especially for free! Nothing like opening with a 10 minute Tore Up! And I finally got to see Hurts Me Too Lisa Pen style :D

My second DSO show with JM and I can't believe what he brings to the band, I thought they could'nt get any better before, guess I was wrong!

FINALLY got my WRS that I had been trying to manifest at every show I was at those couple of weeks!!! THANK YOU! and to get it right after a magical eyes was just the most delicious icing on the cake! DSO played it the first time I ever saw them, and it was the first Dead song I started having auditory hallucinations of when everything got quite in my mind, so it really meant a lot that I got it again that night :)

there were SOOOO many people there! I guess the free factor helped that, and we met a lot of young people in the front that were getting their first live Dead experience out of this show, and they weren't disappointed! I ran into a girl after the show that I have been looking for the last few months at shows and festivals, and our reunion was completely unexpected, but not surprising at all :) that's what this music is about, after all.

the one sad thing in the audience vibe was the level of drunkenness among kids that I am not really sure are actually old enough to drink (free show=more $ spent on beer), and there was the guy in the wheel chair that used it to roll into the front, then proceeded to stand and dance... hmmmm... the Deviled Egg got straight SHOVED by one nasty little girl who kept trying to shove her way in between me and Joseph, and that was when the Deviled Egg decided he doesn't really wanna dance behind me when I am on the rail, and we are resolved to both stand on the rail from now on to avoid such petty and distracting scenes when we are just trying to hear and see the music come alive.... and I am sure in the near future we will also find ourselves in the Chuck-Zone to avoid such confrontations all together.... but all of that aside, it was beautiful to see the band play for such a gigantic audience, must have been really amazing to look out on such a huge crowd from that stage!

that waiting for a miracle really pulled the strings of my heart, and finally hearing Hurts me Too again for the first time since John's last show helped us realize not only how far DSO has come since that cold day in December, but how far we have come as well, and considering how deeply concerned I am for the Deviled Egg and events he has been caught up in, I thank Lisa very sincerely for that emotional rendition that I sang along with directly to my darlin. Exactly what was needed.
