Guest Cyn
Amazing night! I had such a great time! What a great show, thank you, band & crowd, for your energies. The Hilton is a clean venue with a polite staff, good temperature, accessible. & clean restrooms - so much better than HoB. Can't wait for Bethlehem! Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted August 7, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 7, 2010 Pick your adjective/qualifier: 1. sick 2. fuckin' unreal 3. insane 4. holy fucksticks 5. of the [hook], [chart] 6. top 5 7. all the above I go with number 7. And what the formal setlist does not mention is the Esau tease during the specail dedication of the Big Iron. Sucks to be you if you could have made this one and didn't. Just sayin'... [/quote ] It sure does suck for me that I missed this one, and I COULD HAVE been there, as AC is only 2 hours from my house !!! What an incredible setlist, truly a refreshing hodgepodge of tunes, some rarely played. At least I have Bergen PAC to look forward to tonight... really stoked for it !I ...but I was SO wishing to see an elective show, oh well. Whatever they play, I am always thrilled with, so whether it's an elective or a re-creation, it's all very, very good... can't wait
Guest Lisacat
Best dancing I have had at DSO since the west coast. So many fun dancers and great psychadelic energy. There were probably 15-20 dancers/spinners in our back corner. Perfect amount of space- room to move around and flail and spin but contained enough so that the energy didn't dissipate. Oh yes clean carpet!!! It was nice to be able to drop to the floor and lay down after the end of the set. Looking forward to the show on Monday...will be nice to dance in my hometown one more time before heading west.

I am psyched to see some more of the raw 60's stuff tucked into the original sets.

Forum MVP found Posted August 7, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 7, 2010 THIS WAS REALLY, REALLY REALLY, FUN! One of the best elective shows I've seen. The AC vibe was great and lots of fun. Plenty of room to dance. The band was on fire with a nice potpourri of tunes. Highlights... everything but especially the Crazy Fingers>Caution, TOO>SOTM>TOO, Big Iron>Cumberland, Harder They Come, and Tangled Up. Both set openers were loads of fun and the Lazy River Road was sweet and mellow. Great show all around! Looking forward to tonights show.
Forum MVP Mango Posted August 8, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 8, 2010 If I had a slingshot and a rock I would have shot out that light in the back corner....didn't stop us from having a good time though. btw, best crazy fingers ever. and the rest of the songs too. Kira
Chuck, I'll pick #4 as my adjective.....reminds me of that guy they dedicated Big Iron to...... What a great great time in AC!!!! Gotta love an elective, and this one just kept on coming!! Loved the giant carpeted dance floor, the chilly AC, and the very nice and unobtrusive staff.......and LOVED that I WON big bucks playing........25 cent slots.....I know right? Who woulda thunk??!! But most of all loved dancing to my favorite music with all of you. Congratulations again to cute Jill, recently married. It was great seeing you and meeting your husband....David, right? I'm so happy for you both. Thanks DSO for another real good time........so looking forward to tomorrow night!! DSO, I was just wondering......have you all ever entertained the idea of playing Elvis's A Little Less Conversation? Rob E would nail the lead vocals; all of you would harmonize to perfection; and instrumentally, this song is dying for a nice long hard jam in the middle. Just sayin...... xxxooo Kira

Forum MVP FunkyBass13 Posted August 9, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 9, 2010 I LOVE seeing the Run Mary in the setlist. Absolutely LOVE it!!! Had I only know, I would have pulled a DStone and taken that 2nd mortgage out and headed to good 'ol AC. I would have gotten stoked with a rediculous DSO show and then had a White House sub for lunch the next day. Kicking myself: VERY HARD!!!!!!!!!!! Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted August 9, 2010 Advisory Board Report Share Posted August 9, 2010 This show definatly made my top 3! Thanks to DSO for the shout out and dedication... been wanting the Big Iron for a few years, and just haven't been around to get it when it was played. Thanks Eaton! The energy at this show was just amazing, and as always, the venue ROCKS! So much better then that shitty HOB!

Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted August 9, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 9, 2010 Ron nice place for Jersey I think you eat with CV and Greg bang food for Jersey too ,nice to see ya come to Jersey It was a grate trip, and thanks to all involved...I will just politely say that signage for EWR left something to be desired at several strategic locations on the turnpike and exits. The driver was not in a trifling mood yesterday. All's well that ends well!
Forum MVP Mango Posted May 28, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 28, 2011 I know this show can't be made available for whatever reasons but, man, I wish I could hear this one again! Still ranks up there with the best. Maybe it had more to do with the venue/crowd energy but that certainly can't hurt the music playing! Wont be able to make it to the AC Hilton this year, but I wish everyone an amazing time this year. And Rick, don't miss this one
