NYHead12
Someone commented on deadheadland (facebook) that there was $500.00 ticket purchases for last nights show ... again , it was just a comment by someone and who knows if that's really true ... but I think the ticket sale procedure combined with demand for these 2 shows might have created a scalpers paradise ... # 1 stands true and #2 was a joke ... I hope jokes are OK ... and I fail to see how scalping tickets at exorbitantly high prices ( like I would even do that or need to ) conflicts with wishing Bobby well ... I was in Times Square looking for a ticket and gave up after i watched a guy pay $400 for a ticket. there were no extras or anything the ticket he bought was the kids only ticket. Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted July 30, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 30, 2010 In the Stella Blue video he definitely looks like someone trippin'. He's fiddlin and fumblin with guitars like he doesn't even know what's going on. JK keeps looking over at him like "what the F is he doing???" Singing El Paso like he's scared - that's not the Weir we all know and love. Shake it off Bobby!!!

Wow, first off, it's been forever since I've been able to log in and post ... But that being said, I think truer words have seldom been spoken (especially where the Dead family is concerned). Forum MVP FunkyBass13 Posted July 30, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 30, 2010 If that really is the case, it is a very sad comment on the current scene. #1 dosing someone w/o their knowledge is never cool (if you are in your 20s and don't normally steer clear, you might except it, but seriously not cool). #2 You certainly don't dose someone in their late 60s without their knowledge. Hopefully, someone got a serious beat down for that one. Not that I condone violence or anything............. Wow, just watched the El Paso. That's frightening. Goes way beyond "Bobby was just off tonight".......

Forum MVP found Posted July 30, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 30, 2010 Gotta admit Chuck, your vocabulary is the proverbial shit. Heard the first night at Nokia was a disaster. Watched several videos and I for one would have been very, very upset if I paid $200 and got that show. Was outside looking for a ticket but didn't happen. Got to the theater earlier on the second night and got a ticket and yes, it did cost a lot (not $200) but i think it was worth it! They we're pretty much on the whole night and it was a nice comeback (especially for bobby.) I'll give a brief synopsis in the other thread though. 4evergr8ful
I heard of Sirius yesterday the "official" word is that it was a bad reaction to a prescription drug(s). If I had to guess I bet he did get dosed though. He looks totally out of it and I'm sure they wouldn't want the bastard who did it to get any satisfaction or recognition for it, so they say it was something else. I kinda had that thought too....but who knows? My thing is this: why would Phil give the "never drink anything you didn't pour yourself" Rap on night 2? I was bummed to hear it was pills...I highly doubt it was something he took "as prescribed"

Rusty the Scoob
As a legal organization I doubt they could just come right out and admit that he took an illegal drug, knowingly or otherwise. I'm surprised they even issued any kind of official statement on the matter, if in fact they did.

"if in fact they did" is right ... but if they did , they shouldn't have because it's a change in the original story and that tells me both statements are a load of bull and Bobby was buzzed by his own doing ... Phil's statement at the opening of the second night Nokia show was good enough to calm down the masses ... people were mostly concerned with Bobby's health and well being anyway ... we all understand that no one is perfect , so if Bobby fell off the wagon , just get back on and move forward ...
