SeanAY
A brief story about this particular brew... as a lifelong diehard Steelers fan, I wanted something to celebrate a possible Super Bowl win a few years ago. I bought this beer with clear intentions: 1) To cap off a victory, or 2) to console me after a playoff loss. It so happens that I was watching the game with friends from Cleveland, and after taking their sneering and trash talk all night, I retired to my dorm room to enjoy the beer in the fourth quarter; after all, the Steelers were ahead with 2 minutes to go! No sooner do I sit in my armchair and take the first celebratory sip, but Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals catches a long touchdown to put Arizona ahead. Defeated (rightfully) for my hubris, I dumped the rest of the glass and sat in abject horror. When the Steelers finally won that game, I had nothing left to celebrate with but this: That, friends, is Karma.

Guest jazz-man
Since it's summer I like something clean on the palate, like gin and gingerale http://www.spittoon.biz/images/tanqueray_gin-thumb-300x384.png Year-round I am an acquaintance of Jack's http://images.pictureshunt.com/pics/a/alcohol_jack_daniels-10207.jpg which sucks because I am in Saudi arabia and haven't had a drop in 2 1/2 months or so. With a meal I like pinot gris grown in the Willamette Valley (my backyard) http://www.countryliving.com/cm/countryliving/images/tZ/pinot-gris-6-0809-de.jpg Naturally for Christmas or Thanksgiving Bailey's is a wonderful part of the tradition http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff143/nellysdrunkbar/Baileys.jpg It always runs out before you think it would. I rarely drink beer, not really my thing. But at a show or on a hot summer day or playing pool in a joint of some type Coors lite works best for me. But the Coors family is a bunch of right-wing, conservative wankers so I don't often give them any $$ by buying their product.
Blindman
Summer = Pacifico. Winter = Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Fall and Spring = take your choice. All seasons = the best cocktail. The Margarita. When in SF, stop by Tommys Mexican in the Richmond for perhaps the best version.
Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted June 28, 2010 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 28, 2010 Never thought of water skiing as a sport you could drink and do.... (ie: horseshoes, frisbee, hacky sack, bowling). I might have to try that!
