Guest deadheadmike
Bossa Lounge Start Time 7;30pm and 12: midnight 2463 18th Street Northwest Washington, DC 3 bands at Bossa! Djesben, Elijah Tucker & Generous Music, and John Kadlecik. Djesben kicks off the night with our special blend of DC Icono-Jazz featuring Chapman Stick, Appalachian dulcimer and Conga drums. Elijah Tucker & Generous Music are second up & hail from Brooklyn with a sweet sound that made Tom Marshall, Phish's lyricist, say last year "I was alternating between this record and (Phish's) "Joy" for the past couple weeks...really nice orchestration throughout...cool voice. It's a great album." John Kadlecik, the lead guitarist for Furthur and co-founder of Dark Star Orchestra, will close out the night with a mix of original songs and covers. This *will be* a rockin' night of music. See you there!
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted April 3, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 3, 2010 Mike thanks for the info, but it doesn't really help. I'm there to see John and his set. I need to know when he is coming on roughly. I will check the other acts out, but my primary concern is to see John.

neutrino
Could anyone here, or perhaps JK himself, tell us a little more about the band? Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted April 12, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 12, 2010 Thanks John! The show was a blast. Several friends from school and the area attended and I had a blast dancing. The keyboard player particularly stood out to me and of course, John ripped it. Perfect weekend, two DSO shows and the JK band. Unfortunately, no more shows until So Cal for DSO. See everyone real soon.
Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted April 13, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Thus Spoke Zarathustra ?.. also, not to get off topic... but seeing What's Become Of Mary reminded me of how much I wish Furthur would play it... I see it working really well. If JK band ever comes further north I will no doubt be there..
Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted April 13, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 ?.. The title of a novel by Nietzsche; classical work by Richard Strauss; most know the tune because of its opening movement used in the soundtrack of "2001, A Space Odyssey." You'd instantly recognize it.
