Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted March 7, 2010 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 7, 2010 you were right DStone.. edit: I think it actually may have been played because Phil sang this.. Home, home again. I like to be here when I can. When I come home cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire. Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted March 7, 2010 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 7, 2010 Oh, it wasn't about that. People had said a verse of "Breathe" was played after "Time" but I don't think it happened.. and yes, that Sugaree was really, really good. Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted March 7, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 7, 2010 Wow. 1st set all right. I still think jk should sing sugaree. You can hear the music slow down before bobbys vocals. The sugaree in at barton hall was the best on this furthur tour. 2nd set super magical meltdown mind explosion. I was finally able to dance n spin so hard to furthur I can honestly say that at times I didn't know who was singing and for the most part I didn't care. I don't know what else to say but wow. John Conti
Quite simply a fantastic weekend. Powerful stuff, including the brownies! My first Furthur shows, too much fun. We had a group of 20 of us in the stands about 6 rows up off the floor on Phil's side. Couldn't have been better. I give Friday nite a solid 9, and Saturday a 9.95. It really was a 4 set weekend. When they closed 1st set Fri with Terrapin I looked over to one of my cronies and asked where we were in the show. I could've left then and there and been plenty satisfied. Next up DARK STAR ORCHESTRA! Its a great time to live and listen in Colorado. Latest rumor is a 3 nite run at Red Rocks this summer, lets hope so.JC
Guest deadheadmike
Latest rumor is a 3 nite run at Red Rocks this summer, lets hope so.JC That rumor is a definite attention getter ... if this does hit the Furthur summer schedule , I would hope it doesn't interfere with anything else Grateful Dead related going on in the Denver area during that exact time ... Looky , I would suggest keeping a close eye on that ...

Robin
Sitting in our hotel in Portland after a great two nights in Broomfield. First show was very good, but second one blew the roof off the place, especially the second set. As others have said, JK is totally on fire! Stu says the Dew reminded him of Jerry in the late 80s! Looking forward to tomorrow and Phil's birthday back home. We are very blessed!

I listened to some of the 2nd set via the stream Saturday night, but had some folks over doing a food and wine geek night so no one was listening too carefully. However, every time something caught my ear it was like, "man, what a hell of a 2nd set!" Then the stream cut for a while during the Dew. Ah well...
