MHeyne
Credible sources had it as the "100 Year Hall" show... If this is true, it's definitely cool that they are doing a string of Europe '72 shows; however, I wonder how long they will keep that up, as there is a huge amount of overlap in song selection on the shows from that tour (which is indicative of the time period). About 17 songs from 4-24-72 were also played on 4-26-72, and about 13 of the songs that were played on both of those nights were also played at the next show on 4-29-72. Given the command of the GD catalogue that DSO has, I can't imagine they will want to play that many repeats from night to night. My guess is that tonight at the Vic they will play an original devoid of any of the material they have played in the first two shows of the tour, and then possibly pick up the Europe '72 tour again. Any other thoughts on this? Mark

Forum MVP Rbarracoph Posted February 5, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 5, 2010 So, if it's not to much to ask, can anyone tell me the setlist from last night in Milwaukee? 100 year hall minus the Dire wolf which wasn't played at that show(to spite Dead Base) and we ran out of time so we skipped Casey JOnes. For my money, it was one of the best shows DSO has played since I've been in the band(if I do say so myself...... oh, I did!!) Jeff Mattson is ripping it up!! and Kevin-----bass GOD!! Everyone in the band is on it's A game. Koritz is a swinging fool!!! Eaton is using a 1960 Gibson 335 that sounds sweet! and Lisa.... well, what can one say? BRILLIANT Very inspiring Hope everyone enjoys!! See ya at the shows. RB

Guest deadheadmike
You rang? Thought the play by play idea was too much trouble for peeps! It would take a pretty coordinated effort and thats a lot to ask from a bunch of old deadheads ... the young kids are going to have to take this one on and run with it ... us older guys are just happy our wives lets us go to the shows ... we may just have to be happy with the 2-12 hour set list wait ... and anyone posting for a set list 30 minutes before the show ends or 30 minutes after the show is over needs to take a pill and chill ... or like Herdy says , get to the show in person and watch the set list as it happens . I guess it's not a question...now DSO is doing the Pigpen songs with Barraco on the vocals? Are we supposed to assume Rob improvising some raps too? Rob...are you going to break out the harp this tour?
