Given the state of the law (like it or not), what the cops did does not constitute entrapment in that instance. No one acting on behalf of the state compelled, made, or otherwise coerced the defendants into doing something that they otherwise wouldn't have been predisposed toward. Nothing much that the cops needed to add or do...

When we were in college and touring in the '70s it looked like decrim would soon be in full flower. Then came the election of the Great Communicator in '80. Things were set back on that front by a few decades...
Guest jazz-man
Things have been moving forward re: medical marijuana and licensing, etc in the direction of decriminalization fast in the last year than in the last 2 decades! Much of it because of financial difficulties in state's budgets. Maybe in the next year or three Oregon will have dispensaries like in California. One thing that has to be done is to move forward is getting pot classified better and not lumped together with heroin, cocaine, meth, etc.
Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted January 10, 2010 Advisory Board Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 What an idiot... Reminds me of someone I know who went to check on his crop and found empty holes and a Detectives business card, saying to please call him.... Of course, my friend was a little smarter then the idiot from the news article and just wrote it off to bad luck...
Forum MVP lookyloo Posted January 11, 2010 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 Amendment 20 is the LAW here in Colorado. I have a friend here in Colorado, she opened one of the first dispensaries in Boulder about 2 years ago, while it was a struggle at first, it's on the block with buyers bumping up the price into the MILLIONS!!!! Today New Jersey, by all accounts, should become the 14th State to pass a Medical Marijuana Law.....FINALLY!!!! An East coast city with enough forward thinking to get on board. New York will become "yesterday's" city if they don't get with the program. If NJ is anything like Colorado and California it will be a blessing for the Millions who will benefit from this wonderful life saving herb in the Garden State. PLEASE, I beg you, if there is a Bill in your State for Medicinal Cannabis please VOTE YES!!!!! Please donate to SAFER and NORML and do what you can to help.
