Guest Mind Of A Squirrel
I've listened to all of these shows since Oakland over, and over, and over again. Where is the guy singing the high parts? Right now, JK is singing the high harmonies on certain tunes, but it's obvious that it is not in his comfort zone at all. This band seriously needs another singer! I hate to say this on *this* board, but what I feel Furthur could really use is one Rob Barraco! Nothing against JC, but RB is the whole package! Maybe a trade? DSO could have talks with agent Scott Boras maybe... RB could really rake it in if he took on Boras as his agent... (so what if it's essentially dealing with the Devil?) Jeff Chimenti joins DSO, and Lisa sings all of the Brent parts from now on... Just kidding of course, but Furthur really needs a tenor... (I'm Connecticut-bound!) Now, how about if we swap Bobby and Rob Eaton so JK can sing the Jerry tunes? That would really kick ass!!! LOL--JUST KIDDING!!!
Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted December 10, 2009 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 10, 2009 haha... Jeff and Rob are brothers in music. Both cosmic monsters on the keys. Connecticut bound as well. But... I'm pretty sure Jay sings a lot of high harmonies or did on some of the Oakland stuff I heard.

Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted December 11, 2009 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 11, 2009 Love it in Ratdog when Jay sings the Jerry vocals in Jack Straw... so awesome to see him bouncing around in tie dye on stage last night.

Dunno who it is, but there's one guy that makes an attempt, but comes up far short of 'high' harmony. Sounds similar to Warren actually... Kind of a constipated-ape or broken fog horn vocal Gotta get a guy in there who can sing in the Brent/Donna register
