And I can say I was at that Norva show and the show at Martyrs where they played Up All Night (now available on Apple for all to enjoy). Those were fairly early in my DSO career, pre Year of Bliss.

The darkness’s got to lift for sure but it isn’t in the near future. I’ll be chippin’ up rocks for a bit longer. Next month is the 15th anniversary of the start of the Year of Bliss. Where does the time go?

Chuck has a bad case of work reality of late. It is vicious and I am isolating myself so I am not a super spreader. Believe me, no one else wants a case of this.

Those guys on the far right look like they were having a blast! I love each and every one of you, and so many others not here now for one reason or another, with all my heart. Thank you! The love is mutual and will not fade away. I went to all the JITDs but sadly I don’t think that the historical retrospective is in the cards for this year. But 11/11/22 is also a significant date and we should make plans for that!

I hear nothing but good things about old school Blues Clues original lineup. In years to come that collection of their merch will be like gold.

There was the one Grateful Fest (the beloved 2010) where each did a non-Dead song of their own choice. Lisa’s pick was Nothing but Flowers if memory serves correct. There was another year (I think ‘07) there where they did a July 3rd mini-show as a sound check. John sang Watching the Wheels Go Round. That might be when they did For What it’s Worth. Each of those years may qualify as a 4 show Ledges. But I could be all wrong. i miss TN.

I heard somewhere that new ones come and old ones go. At least the weather here will be nice. And JK JGB played Eyes for us last Friday night. That was an unexpected and pleasant first set surprise.

It appears that DSO is scheduled to play the Warfield on Feb 4 and 5, 2022. Some may be interested.
