  1. As sure as your sorrows are joys> And night comes so quiet, it's close on the heels of the day Just... wow!! ❤️🙏😃
  2. Damn! 😄 That is the elective dream coming true!
  3. Bless you Doc, and here’s to many more years for you dancing in a ring around the sun!
  4. This is unreal! Talk about rocking the house! Do yourself a favor and watch all the way through. ”Whose barn, what barn, my barn!”
  5. I have a few thoughts on the subject myself.
  6. Rick, it takes a big man with to full heart to make such a statement that he knows the life he is living is no good. A lot of people have been very worried for you and not only is love real, concern is too. Many of us have, for whatever reason, an empty place inside us. The GD/DSO music and all that comes with it helps fill that hole. I think the trick is to keep the cup full but not constantly overflowing. And while the venue is interesting, a lot of of us don’t think too terribly fondly of Dewey... 🤔 it took courage to write what you did. I know it is more than just a “look at me” post. So no more platitudes, no more song allusions, just a nod to strength we know you have.
  7. My thoughts and prayers are and will be with you and your family. The saying may be unfortunately a cliche, but the love is real.
  8. God bless you and your family, Rick. i remember my conversations with her during our stays at the AC house. A great, insightful, and loving lady. Keep her always near to your heart.
  9. Monarchist, republican or ambivalent, those going to London will be there at an interesting time in recent British history. Safe travels, all.
  10. Where is the “j’adore” button? She was the only GD member I talked to during GD time (Cap Center 9/25/76). Several of us (this means you and me, Doc) talked to her at and in the bus ride after Scott’s memorial show at the Kinetic Playground, and then several more times over the years at Grateful Fest. Very gracious and very fun. An amazing lady of Southern gentility. She is a Thatcher and we determined that her people in Alabama undoubtedly knew my people in Tennessee as we were from adjacent counties separated only by a very porous state line. We are everywhere.
  11. I remember the shows with Stu after JK’s departure. Those were very good times. And there is lot of missing Herdy going around. Safe travels, you all!
  12. Reno - so near yet so far away...😔
  13. Barring a change in the planet’s axial tilt, this summer will end.
  14. Getting back to the original question of whether “Fall ‘22” will happen, I am pretty confident that it will. Per the National Weather Service: AUTUMNAL EQUINOX...(FALL) SEP 22 2022 904 PM EDT - 0104 UTC SEP 23
  15. I don’t know if you ever drive by this place anymore, but happy day! I know Alisha posted something not too many years back. You two are really missed...take care and hope to see you all somewhere, sometime.
  16. I think EDC (here this weekend) should leave its setup set up for next weekend and the Jubilee should come to me.
  17. That’s a negative but you may not have sent one recently. 😎
  18. And I can say I was at that Norva show and the show at Martyrs where they played Up All Night (now available on Apple for all to enjoy). Those were fairly early in my DSO career, pre Year of Bliss.
  19. The darkness’s got to lift for sure but it isn’t in the near future. I’ll be chippin’ up rocks for a bit longer. Next month is the 15th anniversary of the start of the Year of Bliss. Where does the time go?
  20. Chuck has a bad case of work reality of late. It is vicious and I am isolating myself so I am not a super spreader. Believe me, no one else wants a case of this.
  21. Those guys on the far right look like they were having a blast! I love each and every one of you, and so many others not here now for one reason or another, with all my heart. My life would be so empty without what we share. I’ll leave it with this beautiful thought. The two Micks say it perfectly. Hours are like diamonds...
  22. Thank you all so much. The fun thing about long strange trips is the people you meet along the way. And I have been blessed beyond measure to know you all.
  23. Thank you! The love is mutual and will not fade away. I went to all the JITDs but sadly I don’t think that the historical retrospective is in the cards for this year. But 11/11/22 is also a significant date and we should make plans for that!
