  1. Thank you for that, and let me recommend that folks check out the Great Society’s original version (if they haven’t already) for some serious early psychedelia ❤️❤️
  2. Say I won't be coming home, gotta start a new life… Take me to a circus tent Where I can easily pay my rent Those are two fine selections right there. I remember some deep tracks at JM and Friends in years gone by. I am happier for you all than I can tell.
  3. I like those kinds of innovative set lists. It is like a box of chocolates.
  4. Now if this band I know would just recreate that show, that’d be great.
  5. I think one factor in the current Phish situation is that we are so far removed from Jerry and the GD that the new generation of fans for both bands don’t have the cross pollination that occurred during the ‘90s and early ‘00s. People are more in their respective scenes and those have diverged significantly. c’est la vie.
  6. This is pretty damn heartfelt, I think. The crowd reaction is beautiful. Like the comments say, goosebumps.
  7. I certainly do not begrudge them their channel 29 on Sirius but I miss Jam On.
  8. This is an outstanding show that includes Scarlet->Fire Estimated->Eyes That right there is the definition of an outstanding show.
  9. It is interesting how perspective changes with life events. But there’s no question that you’re never alone at a dance party.
  10. The Great Society epitomizes that perfect moment when folk was evolving into acid. Check out their Somebody to Love and Sally Go Round the Roses. Hell, just get this album. 😃😎
  11. White Rabbit the way God meant it to be played.
  12. And the best, most extended jam tease of The Eleven up to that time. The run up to the eventual triumphant breakout was a process…
  13. I revived the original review thread for the show on the occasion its 10th anniversary. A lot of good folks (many of whom don’t come around here much anymore) posted to reminisce. It really was that inspiring a show. Lisapen on Lovelight was a performance for the ages. I will try to dig that up and also go through my CDs. They are in about the same disarray as Billy’s and TBs, I imagine.
  14. That show is still a, if not the, gold standard. It was an honor and a privilege to have been there. If we are known by the company we keep, I was blessed beyond measure that night. i can’t make any promises but let me see if I can dig something up.
  15. That second set is all that is good and right with the world.
  16. I doubt it is Desolation Row. You’d probably remember that one.😎
  17. That’s some nice Dylan there. And Low Spark out of Drums looks just exactly perfect.
  18. Let it Grow, Cosmic Charlie, and Mr Charlie were definite highlights. The vocal stylings of Miss Lisa Mackey were on full display. it was so good to see folks that I love and miss: 333 Mike, Michael, Ellen, Christophe and Josed, and of course the birthday boy Dr V himself. Thank you LA, the westernmost suburb of Vegas.
  19. I have no words. But perhaps I'll see you the next quiet place I furl my sails
  20. Greg, that was a good read, and nice of Anonymous to give a shout out in the comments to DSO. 😎
  21. That hill has sucked from day one. Morning, noon, and night it sucks. It sucks when it is hot and dry. It sucks when it is wet and chilly. It sucks when it is covered with morning dew (pun or literally). It sucks even more, if such a thing is possible, when people pitch tents on it and stakes and ropes make it an obstacle course. In my world it has sucked, sucks now, and will continue to suck. For cardio I dance. Or at least flail. But I fully respect your position and admire your generous spirit.
  22. Well said in every regard, Mango. I feel about that motherfucking hill at the Jubilee like you do about the balloons. But that’s just my take, too.
  23. Low Spark>Visions is just…wow ❤️
