  1. Peugot is all over Europe. To be one of those I think I'm better and more sophisticated than others people, think Tesla owners, I've often thought of what it might be like to import one here into the states.
  2. 12 team playoff would be interesting. Not sure Bama makes the top 12 though. I think they need to win out to make the top 12 and that means beating Georgia. If they manage to beat Georgia they will be in the top 4 and make the playoff regardless.
  3. They doing their overplayed fillers back to back nights haha
  4. Big game not 220 plus though
  5. On some of the big psychedelic nights I would drive for hours after the show. Listen to classic rock and hear songs clearly for the first time. Not just a verse or two but how all the verses connect.
  6. I hope our paths cross again sometime soon. Love you buddy
  7. Chuck you were there that night in Richmond when the Dew clicked. For some reason Dew and Eyes were songs that often made me think of Chuck and his blissed out spins.
  8. This was a cherry pop night for me. Those that ride that owsley train know what I mean. This isn't your virginity you can pop your cherry a few times a year if your lucky maybe even once every tour but once it happens you feel it but you don't really trip again until you take a good time off the ride. So I had some news from summer that didn't really seem to do the trick. I might feel a little something but didn't even give a jolt of energy most nights. I wasn't dancing til the daylight. I might even sit some songs at the shows. I thought the stuff was flat weak. So I over did it. Took 3 to get one you know the all prankster trick. I've got others with this before but not myself in a long time. Don't get me wrong I've been to this place just not by accident in quite sometime. First set was fairly par to the course. Whitney and I were a touch late but pretty close to on time for us. They started a little late so we caught the opener. Fairly solid first set hard to handle Cumberland sunrise highlights but fairly routine set for me nothing mind blowing but boy was a slowly coming up. The stuff already touched me more than it did over the summer. Boom. China cat starts and the kaleidoscope is on. The colors the light everything was so incredibly bright and in motion. I couldn't see anything but spirals of color. I panicked a little which didn't help the situation but I was out there. Floating in Milky Way of love and magic. Connecting to my emotions and the universe but totally unable to function in this world. I was supposed to do the 10 minute drive back to the hotel and at this point I needed someone to hold my hand just to make it out of the venue. Fortunately I have a trusted partner in this journey called life. I told her how out there I was and let her know she had to drive home. We also step outside the venue to go roll up a blunt to help me settle myself down. You could hear the show crisp and clear outside the fence on the sidewalk outside the venue. We settled in there for a bit. I'm not a huge low spark fan if I'm being honest. It's a song that felt special at first but dark star does too much in my not so humble opinion but this version was strong. I think I heard it more clearly than ever before. This has happened with other songs before. I remember seeing the picture painted by morning dew for the first time in Richmond. Lisa offered me a place to stay that night but I was confident I could drive home. About 30 minutes from DC the split open and melt became too much and pulled over and called a friend for help. That too was a cherry pop night. Then China doll. I shared here before this show that a good friend and mentor of mine killed himself recently. I've listened to 3/30/90 on repeat for weeks. The China doll is big in this show. Dark stars was even bigger. My aqueducts of my emotions opened. On the sidewalks of Birmingham I sobbed for Bob. I sobbed for the lost I felt and even more so I sobbed for Bobs step children especially Bryan who I consider outside of Whitney my best friend. The person I trust 2nd most in my life now. Mom and Dad you guys will always be first only rivaled by Whitney. It put me back to when my dad died when my mom died. How do I go on? How do I continue life without their guidance. Their love. Their support. I'm so sorry Bryan. The fracture he left is deep for me but I can't imagine how deep it is for you. I did pull it together and dance through the tears for bob for Bryan for me. After the flood of emotion I felt, Whitney suggested maybe it would be a good time to go. I still needed her help to get to the car but I agreed it was time to go. I had got what I came for. It was one of those magical nights that only dark star can bring me. Makes me feel human. Makes me acknowledge the love and beauty in my life. Experience and process the pain and sorrow but also remember the love and joy. It's everything a real trip is supposed to be. If you laugh cry and think all in the same day that's a good day. I stole that from jimmy V. Thank you so much DSO. I love you Whitney. I love my kids so much. I miss you mom and dad. Bob you will never be forgotten. love is real
  9. I love you brother. Hope our paths cross again but understand if they don't. So glad I was able to catch you this night.
  10. Holy China Doll! That was cathartgasm I needed. RIP brother. I miss you and your presence will not be forgotten. the fracture you made is deep. Very deep. love you brother.
  11. So I'm back in the land of Zaxbys and Waffle House. I had to struggle not to yell let's go Phillies getting off the plane last night and do a Bryce Harper stare down as I walked off the plane.

I think the eagles narrative is funny. We keep winning while the media keeps saying we held on for that one. The eagles survived. It's comical. Wins are wins. Winning isn't easy in the NFL. I like where we are right now. Do we need to improve? Of course. Do we need to play a more complete 60 minutes of football? Absolutely. Do I think we can find ourselves back in the Super Bowl? That's a resounding yes. We our great in the trenches. We can get one yard on command which is much harder in the nfl then you may realize. I like our chances.

Cowboys play a good team and they get slammed. This was a flat out ass kicking.
  14. Kentucky gets slammed by Georgia. Thus no respect.
  15. I'm glad that Chattanooga was in the cards for me Doc. It will be great to see you.

The game is won in the trenches o line d line. WR can make a QB but a great QB makes WR. Chiefs moved on from Hill still won Super Bowl. Brady only had a top 5 receiver once. Won a bunch of super bowls with an average receiving core. Cowboys have wideouts Cooks lamb these guys can ball. But I get you AJ brown won the last game for the birds. Guys a monster
  17. Kentucky needs to win one of the Bama Georgia games and only lose two and then they'll get respect might even make playoff.

SB quality roster. Just need QB that shows up in until big moments. When defense is a little off. When the other guys aren't sharp. The guy that pulls it altogether. Makes that drive. You go up 4 on cheifs with 2 minutes left you fucked up. Everybody knows Pats got this you scored too soon. No one feels that way bout Dak. Dak a stud in the blow outs. He's a sheep in need of a shepherd in the close ones.
  19. Kentucky should move up into the rankings. Their problem is they will definitely drop a few games in SEC. They need a marquee win over a top 5/10 school to get some real respect.

Dak just isn't the answer in big D. He's good. Serviceable. I'm not even saying he's a back up. The jets would love to have him but he's not winning super bowls. I think Dallas gives up on Dak following this year. They have a Super Bowl quality roster but can't beat Arizona with a back up QB in the game.
  21. So looks like Birmingham Chattanooga and Atlanta are a go. This could be it until after the baby so let's make it count boys. Giddy up!!'
  22. We had to cancel due to Whitney's pregnancy. Islandgigs refunded our deposit minus and name change so that may be an option for these guys.
  23. Georgia might be putting together a run like Bama did maybe even a greater run. They going for a three pete. Bama never did that. Now back to Bama. What the fuck is going on Tuscaloosa. I may be a Bama hater but that haterade stems from the consistent excellence Alabama displayed week in and week out for 15 plus years. They looked poorly prepared for this game. Lacked focus. Something that even in losses you never really said about a Nick Saban coached team. Yes they won but what an underwhelming and uninspiring victory. Down 3 to USF at end of first. Tied at half. Come on. I'm not trying to trash USF too hard but they aren't in the same stratosphere as Alabama. Alabama has some real questions/problems at the QB position. Really tough to win football games with out at least consistent reliable QB play. Fortunately for them, we have college football free agency and some teams end up loaded at QB so NFL quality players end up transferring. Maybe the Manning boy leaves Texas for Bama. Who knows? I don't see next years QB on this years team. Now on a different college football subject, how bout Coach Prime and the Buffs. So I get off my flight from Philly and decide to grab some sexy pizza on way home from airport. I hadn't even really been following the games today. Yesterday my brother got married so we've been traveling for the wedding and we spent the day at Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse in Fairmount Park on Saturday cause our flight home wasn't until 820 PM. This place was one of it not the best park I've ever taken my kids too that didn't cost money and start with theme water or amusement before park. Stuff for all ages. Both kids had a blast. All right. Aside over back to football. I get out of the car at the Sexy Pizza. I hear some raucous cheers coming from a bar across the street. Joke to Whitney that bar is hopping. Still no clue what's going on. But they got game on in sexy pizza and I finally put it together. CSU is up 11 with like 8 minutes left. Just sacked shadeur sanders. They look like they got game in hand. Sanders gets enough yards back on the next play for the Buffs to convert what looked like a pretty easy field goal. But they down 8 with 7 minutes or something like that to go. I still have like an hour drive to get us home from airport so I don't actually stop to watch game but follow on my phone rest of way home. They get pinned on the 2 yard line with a touch over 2 minutes left. Things are still looking pretty good for CSU. I trust my team to hold them or force them to run out of time in that scenario most of the time. And hell they have to score twice really cause they need the two point. Sanders takes them 98 yards for the score. Converts the 2 point. Buffs win in double overtime. Sanders has got to be getting some Heisman love for sure. And if the keep winning and he wins the heisman this will definitely be one of those games and one of those drives that defines that heisman run. Crazy how that game went with all the drama leading up to it. CSU almost knocked Deion sunglasses right off his face but instead Deion is left smiling hat and sunglasses on, triumphant.

And oh ya, that Dolphins Chargers match up was fantastic entertainment. That's what I've been waiting months for. NFL week 1 delivered. I need 24.7 points from Josh Allen and the Buffalo defense tonight. I'm projected to win but definitely nervous. Fantasy keeping Monday night suspenseful and must watch for me.
  25. With the new transfer portal crap, who knows if that class is intact when it matters. Freshman aren't going to win championships. I'm sure Bama will be okay but it's like what happen to Sunday Tiger in golf. There was a time if Tiger had the lead entering Sunday it was over. He knew it. We knew it but most importantly, the other golfers knew it. The were so engulfed with the mystique of Tiger they forgot to compete. Bama used to win their games before they started. We was afraid of big bad Bama. Now that's Georgia. We not scared of Bama anymore. If we a top 40 team, we now believe that if we execute and play our game we can beat Bama. They now have to win games on Saturday. They gonna have at least 2/3 losses this year. SEC ain't no joke.
