  1. So, I’m sifting through all the articles about the Raiders news this week. Their team meeting before the Detroit game had the new coach talk about how when he was a player, his Giants beat undefeated New England to win the Super Bowl. McDaniels walked up to His replacement and said, “Don’t you talk about New England like that.” Yea, I would have thrown him out of my place of business too. Kudos to Davis for realizing his mistake and ending the pain. It had me thinking about the scene from The Godfather where Michael had every one who had crossed him killed while he’s at the baptism. Somebody needs to make a utube video of the soundtrack from that scene played over top of video of Davis firing the guy who threw those lousy passes against Detroit, his boss, his boss, his boss, but not himself. “It’s not the people you fire that drives you crazy, it’s the people you don’t.”
  2. Looks like my Raiders finally got around to cleaning house, cutting out all the dead wood. Boy, that needed to happen. Now what?
  3. Raiders fan here. All hope is lost. Our coach can not calculate two digit math in his head.
  4. Jim Croce passed away fifty years ago today. I loved his stuff growing up.
  5. A few years back, the Cork had a TOO that was felt two towns over.
  6. The true heart and soul of the Grateful Dead. GET YOUR HANDS OUTTA YAW POCKETS !!!
  7. I caught one of those DSO Jerry Band shows a few years back, Baltimore. I don’t remember them as three set shows. I was blown away by how blown away I was.
  8. I caught this video about a year ago. Well told story. I got a kick out of the footage shot over here on the Eastern shore.
  9. Nice! jGB elective but I hope Eaton is ok.
  10. So far away from how it feels inside…..
  11. Are like you sure the date is right? I couldn’t find a match. Was probably there, no recollection of a set list.
  12. So many gems and a mix of all eras represented.
  13. Looks like the band is headed back to the Anthem, 10/21. Hey, Saturday nite!
  14. Typical Grateful Dead fashion, just because they hauled all their equipment, etc. to the feet of the Sphinx, played under a full moon, lunar eclipse, doesn’t mean it will be a good show. Hey, they stunk up Woodstock. What turns out to be the best shows can be found in the strangest of places, if you look at it right.
  15. What do women and Jell-O have in common? They both quiver before you eat them.
  16. What they play? I don’t know but it was great. The sign of a successful show.
  17. So, I’m thinking Folsom Prison Blues would be a bit of a showstopper but no one who was present is commenting. Please describe.
  18. just had a guy at the gas station ask me what my license plate (boxrain)meant. I asked him if he ever heard of the Grateful Dead, and if he ever saw them. He said yea, once., Austin, Texas, 1969. I looked it up. If it was Austin, he musta meant 2/23/70. He said they did the coolest thing. After they were done playing the show, they set up a huge set of cymbals and the guy just played the cymbals for a really long time. He said he has seen the Moody Blues three times. I thought that was cool.
  19. My thought exactly. Oh Well, I know what I’m not doing this summer.
