  1. Set list is posted under tour information hub.
  2. Agreed. I think it’s high time that Dark Star Orchestra ventures into uncharted waters upon that sacred ground.
  3. I just got an E mail. Start time has changed. Doors at five, show at six. I guess they’re starting an hour earlier to fit it in. First things first, ya gotta make sure it’s gonna fit!
  4. Gotta love the Help/slip/yada yada yada/Frank
  5. Got lost in DC looking for RFK. Pulled into a gas station, my buddy gets out to ask for directions. As his girlfriend and I watch him walk by, in front of the car, we both look past him into the parking lot full of tye dyes, etc. hilarious. He comes back out of the gas station and points, ‘Weir here!’
  6. Pa. Show is doable for me. I love, love, love that things are getting back to normal, shows abound. Just got my pod for Selbyville, De. Show. Looking forward.
  7. Couldn’t agree more with the Lisa comments. She is underrated, I believe. Plus, how fortunate we are to recognize and appreciate the playing by the entire band. If we had to explain it to those ignorant attendees, they wouldn’t get it anyway.
  8. Proof that you were there. What did they play? I don’t know but it was great.
  9. …the thermostat in your house stays 72, come shine or rain.
  10. So, they played truckin’ twice?
  11. They musta come out rockin’ and letting the crowd know that they were in for a real good time with Jack Straw/Tangled opener. Also, Terrapin/low Spark musta been surreal.
  12. Little red riding hood is walking through the woods when the big, bad wolf jumps out from behind a tree. He tells her, ‘ I am going to cut you up in little pieces’. Little red riding hood says,’no, you’re not. Your going to take me to grandmothers house and tie me up and eat me just like the book says!’
  13. After all these years and different fashion styles, I have only worn bootleg jeans.
  14. I had it explained to me that the number of new cases per day falls off, number of people vaccinated rises, the virus loses it’s habitat to exist in and literally just goes away.
  15. If my words did glow....
  16. I heard on Sunday that they are playing Fenwick Island, De. On July 28th. A little lower and slower , Delaware. AKA, LSD.
  17. After all these years, somewhere around a hundred shows, Grateful Dead, Dark Star Orchestra, Jerry Band, the Dead, Phil and friends, Furthur, Dead and Company, I was still able to have five first time ever listenings of tunes. Why don’t we do it in the road Strange man Reuben and Cherise Unbroken Chain Mission in the rain.
  18. I feel that it needs to be mentioned, the good fortune and hard work that Rob Eaton has put in to make such a great recovery from his wrist injury. I couldn’t tell.
  19. Yea, I was just looking at Dead and company tour dates. They want a COVID passport or they’ll move you to another area of their choice. Almost $800 for a VIP ticket and they might move you to behind a concrete pillar in the nosebleed section because your medical paperwork is lacking. No thanks, that’s ok. Besides, I need to vacuum. Praise DSO. praise Bill K, navigator of the year.
  20. So, I was cutting through town on my way home tonight and I saw they were having a car show. I parked and checked out the cars. There was a VW bus among the vehicles that owners were showing off. I asked the owner ‘so, no Grateful Dead stickers?’ She replied, ‘no, but I did find a Grateful Dead cassette tape in a secret stash spot under the driver’s seat.’
  21. I’m screwed with the proof of vaccine shit. I only got one shot as I was advised by an extremely intelligent and highly experienced in the medical profession man to not get the second shot as I have had Covid and it would be totally unnecessary as my natural defenses are high. I would only, possibly, get sick and should not get more vaccine than is necessary. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Covid passport Althea I am fine. ( I’m leaving the spellcheck in, gotta love it)
  22. I thought I was hearing let it grow at the beginning of unbroken chain. There’s some satisfaction. I’m really feeling the afterglow. Apparently, I really needed a show. Not for stressed out reasons but because things have been going well lately. Great show, great day, great people wherever I turned on Sunday. There was a feeling in the air that things are looking up for the band and shows. Everyone was talking about upcoming shows. So glad I made it.
  23. Lisa nailed it, too! Every one in the band was on fire. Not sure how Eaton’s hand feels this morning. I had a ton of fun. Thanks to all who are responsible for that.
  24. Nice set list, sorry I missed some of those tunes. Some of my favorites in that line up. Gotta love a ‘74 China/rider.
  25. So, with Box A Rain second set closer placement, the show ends with the lyric ‘ such a long time to be gone and a short time to be there.’ Nice. Appropriate as of late. I’m still waiting to catch Lisa singing White Rabbit. I can only imagine, so far.
