Heck, I enjoyed your run and am exhausted and I’m on my couch! Rest, hydrate, bongs, and penicillin. Not necessarily in that order.

Yes, elective. St. Stephen and Corrina never appeared in a GD show together.

Ride mighty high, of course. It’s the JGB version of Casey Jones, right?

I don’t think it’s weird at all. I said the same thing after every JGB show I attended. And then I come down and realize I love both. And Pink Floyd, too.

Doo, doo, doo, doo, da-doo! name that tune
  6. 3/24/90, Albany. A lot of music here included in the “Dozin’ at the Knick” release. Here’s a great audience, and Charlie Miller got involved with the transfer, so if you tinker around on the Archive at all, you know that means that play time is over. https://archive.org/details/gd90-03-24.fob-schoeps-mattes.miller.28387.sbeok.shnf/gd90-03-24d1t07.shn
  7. https://archive.org/details/gd90-03-21.sbd.heath.5307.sbeok.shnf Spring Tour 1990, Canada style. The 2nd Loose Lucy after the dust-off, followed by a first set VOTC with Weir seeking feedback from his monitor deep in the space by taking a knee, into a first set SOTM>Promised Land. Not to mention the 1/2 Step for Without a Net, for those who like that tune. 😜 The only thing I’ll say about this underrated second set (thanks primarily to the following night's offering) is that anytime they decided to drop into Cumby in set 2, I wound up happy, not to mention sweaty. Get headphones and enjoy!
  8. As I typically qualify such dialogue: “I wasn’t in the room...”, but I bet that Hornsby was a part of the band because Jerry liked him and much more importantly because of the way that he interacted musically with their songs on both baby grand as well as the accordion a helluva lot more than because of some desire to appeal to some “masses” that you mention.
  9. If you think about it, “Dizzy ain’t the word for they way that you’re making me feel, now (got to help me girl)”, does not make all that much sense.
  10. Some o’ yer love... F, that is one rowdy Lovelight.
  11. Someone speaks Deadbase.
  12. Oh, that must have been a lot like experiencing the first set of this show... https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/grateful-dead/1992/oakland-alameda-county-coliseum-arena-oakland-ca-2bd5a44a.html
  13. Sorry, but I need a clarification, please: are you saying that you were in attendance for only the encore? I'm expecting you to say "no, I saw the whole show, of course", but the way I'm reading it led me here. . If, by some set of circumstances, you were only there for the encore, please share how in the world that happened, if it's not too traumatic to recall.
  14. Great post, T. Both for the show offering (congrats on being there in person, sick show to catch!), as well as for the thoughts that follow. Well said, bro.

  16. Even if it's not, you get an e-high-five from me for moseying in here at set break to share. Thank you, Dupree!
  17. I see someone has their head in the right place today. I presume you're getting hydrated and performing some stretching in preparation for tonight?
  18. Haha, great call, Doc! Invoking Spiccolli: "I know that dude..."
  19. https://archive.org/details/gd94-10-05.sbd.unknown.6483.sbeok.shnf Today's offering from the Spectrum. Pretty funny review by user Wang Dong at the very top of the comments section of the Archive page linked above.
  20. Maybe we can add to this thread as we go? I looked at the date today and thought of 30 years ago today. Shoreline.
  21. Sometimes the lights are all shining on me. Other times I can barely see.
  22. Remind me to stand in front of you in the fortunate event that we ever meet at a show, aiight?
  23. Classic! I'd never seen that, RD, thanks for sharing.
