Great call, Bill. The hippie scene in Memphis and on Beale Street was a sight to behold. What a blast! Final Memphis Blues, appropriately.

If only there was a kickass show from March 29... š

Well if you havenāt already jumped in, let me tell you that you are in for a fucking treat! Iād start naming tunes, but that would just be redundant. Not a bad effort by the taper, either. š

How about a Rob Eaton/Charlie Miller soundboard for today, boys and girls? Vegas, Aladdin. 3/26/83. https://archive.org/details/gd1983-03-26.140315.sbd.eaton.miller.clugston.flac1648

Lots of St. Paddyās Day shows to choose from. But in 1993, they trotted out Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds for the first time. https://archive.org/details/gd93-03-17.sbd.ladner.4979.sbeok.shnf/gd1993-03-17d2t04.shn

Letās bring 2021 into the world of TIGDH with January 6, 1978. A smoking and pretty fun show at Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, California that is memorable for reasons other than the show that was held there in February 1977 that you might have heard of: this one has Garcia singing in set 1, but he calls it quits for vocals in set 2 due to laryngitis (too much, too fast over NYE, Jer?). Note some banter and a stupid Weir joke in set 1, how very gently Jerry sings when he does, and the Truckin, as it promises to get you moving. Bonus Intel: the two shows that followed were in San Diego, and neither one of those shows had any Garcia vocals at all. Can someone say ārain check?!ā https://archive.org/details/gd78-01-06.sbd.clugston.6953.sbeok.shnf/gd78-01-06d1t03.shn

1973 is the year for TIGDH, November 25. Feyline Field in Tempe. Charlie Miller transferred board. 5-star boogie fest as only 1973 can provide. Do not skip the China/Rider (not sure anyone would ever skip a China/Rider, but if you were going to, donāt start by doing so here...) https://archive.org/details/gd1973-11-25.sbd.miller.113007.flac16

Iāll say if a person is reading this, they love it, too. š If Iām at a show and RJ is in the two or three slot, Iām not thrilled. All qualifiers about: -liking the song -wishing JG was around to deliver us one -I wouldnāt be throwing my hands in the air like a douche and complaining or anything of the sort But if I could design 2-3 shows worth of lists, RJ would be in one of those sets, but it damn well would not be in the 2 hole.

I havenāt nailed it down, but I like my Row Jimmy in the second half of the first set. Lots of dependencies, like how many total songs are in the set, what precedes it, what comes after - all need to be considered. What sort of Row Jimmy logic do you have to offer?

I did not know any of this. Thanks, RD. I do like to think I know good sound and good music, and that was indeed both of those. Cool arrangement on Corrina.

anyone purchase box office tickets at the space in westbury?
DesertDead replied to scarfire's topic in Tour Information Hub
If you canāt figure out how to get your money back, you can always call the bank that issued the card you used and tell them you are having trouble getting a refund for an event that was cancelled. They will issue you a provisional credit, giving you the money back right away while you (and they) research the matter. -
Although Iām positive they started to tease it during Space at Alpine 1988, āSeveral Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pictā could have went places.

DesertDead replied to Tea's topic in Tour Information Hub
If you went and got sick, would you regret it? If yes, then donāt go. We have all missed shows that we feel were our birthright (Christopher Walken voice to Dane with the watch, that comfortable piece of metal...), There will be others. I am proud as a person who only knows you anonymously via the Internet could be, sml. Get back truckinā on.... -
