  1. Mr. Eaton prefaced the show by mentioning he has had bronchitis for the past week, but that he plans on singing his ass off, which he did. Small, old theatre around 850 capacity built in 1885, not heavily sold, they allowed dancing in the aisles, which was well taken advantage of. The house achieved pin drop quiet during Morning Dew, was lovely all around, and Lisa delivered a powerful performance to close out the night with Strange Man, such a treat!!

  3. Thanks Mango, looking forward to the next time we can cut it up, working on my Rhino moves 😛
  4. I really like taping the band, but it is hard for me to fully let go and be free to dance when I have to think about keeping an eye on the equipment. I feel bad about not taping, especially since I have the gear, and many shows I attend have no other tapers, but since discovering how much fun letting go in an oasis of freedom can be, I don't think about taping as much 😃 as sudds94 mentioned, Rob did indeed belt it out on I Know You Rider, I hope he feels better soon.
  5. What a great show, high energy with lots of space and dancers, very fun night!! Second set sequence was killer, Pocky in between China and Rider was a good surprise. Lisa got a very enthusiastic ovation, lasting probably 30 seconds, after singing Sunrise, with Skip and Eaton urging the crowd to applaud more. The jam out of Terrapin was extended and beautiful, and the remainder of the show after drums and space was also very fun, with The Eleven being the highlight of the night for me, with swirling torrents of music for dancers to ride upon. ❤️ Loved the venue too, hopefully they return.

  8. I hope so too, looks like a killer show. Maybe the band will consider releasing this one 🤤
  9. Me and my buddy Tim both taped the show there last fall, but neither of us made it up there this year. Just keep an eye out, if there was a taper there, we might get lucky and they will post it. Not every taper goes thru the extra hours of work it takes to transfer a recording to the Archive, I know several tapers who don't, so if you see a taper at a show, it can be a good idea to get contact info after thanking them and they might be more willing to make the show available to you 😃

Love the barrage of 80s songs to start the night. Second set looks perfect. Our turn tonight, gonna be fun 🤤
  11. I'm not sure, but I'll be headed up with my brother and we're meeting up with a buddy of mine there from RI. Probably just going to be hanging around wherever we park and milling around before the show 😃
  12. Not sure if there was a filler, just saw online that they played this show.

Cassidy and Althea after Dire Wolf, good fun time on a work night, really fun first set.
  18. Welcome to the forum!! The show at the Cap on 11/1 was one of my favorite I've attended, and out of those others you mentioned, I was at the Ithaca show last fall and Asbury Park this summer, had a lot of fun dancing at Asbury park. Ithaca was also a lot of fun, reconnected with a dear friend there, so that show holds a special place in my heart 😃
  19. I stayed toward the back of the floor on either side of the soundboard, but pockets of enthusiasm seemed to be abundant that night 😃
  20. Wow, what a show, I'm feeling pretty hobbled right now from dancing. Seeing an acoustic guitar set up next to Jeff's rig before the show started was one indication we would be in for a special night. We were graced with an enormous amount of dance space and some enthusiastic dancers, all you could ask for to really enjoy last night's concert. Highlights for me were Rob Barraco's solo performance of Katie Mae on acoustic guitar, really sweet. More highlights include a high energy Viola Lee, brought to a frenzied climax with dancers in hot pursuit. Not Fade Away included a few strong teases of China Cat, St. Stephen, and GDTRFB in quick succession, followed immediately by a verse, maybe my favorite part of the night. And We Bid You Goodnight was lovely, a capella with dazzling harmony singing. It was fun, thanks to the band for pulling such an amazing show out of the hat.

  22. I had a spur of the moment chance to make to down and catch the second set of this show, thanks to the kindness of GratefulDevil, who said he had an extra ticket and sent it to me. After hemming and hawing for a while, Jake convinced me to head down, pick him up on the way, and it was way more fun than my original plan of doing stuff in the basement. Highlights for me was Saint Stephen until the end of the show, great time with an enormous amount of dance space, thanks to (maybe) it being a Thursday night and having Dead and Co playing at MSG. Gotta clean up the leaves and get ready for tonight, thank you again to GratefulDevil for getting me out 😃
  23. Hey Jon, I think we may have met at Asbury Park, if you were there. Me and my brother were there, were also from CT, hopefully see you at some of these coming up in November!
  24. That looks like fun 🤤⚡️⚡️
