  1. Wonder if there’s going to be a fall tour. A bunch of their venues are booking dates with other bands, hopefully there’s something in the works.
  2. Got our tickets for this today. Sounds like a nice venue. DSO plus camping out among the stars, gonna be a nice time.
  3. Strange Man, what a gem. Started out on Fred Astaire...😂. Looks like a great selection of stuff to finish up the weekend.
  4. Saw a video on Facebook of Skip dancing during Truckin’ while his bass was down. Fun times to all attending tonight 😎
  5. Well, this was an awesome time. The insane wind of the previous day slowly diminished over the course of the day to a light breeze at show time, and completely laid down by the end of the night. Crisp, beautiful sound. Franklin’s opener was a continuation of the night before, as the rain started before the band was able to get to the Franklin’s encore of 6/9/76. Skip was center stage for both nights. No detectable rust on Eaton’s playing at all, he has been making an amazing recovery. The band noted the Kentucky Derby after The Race is On or Run For the Roses. Bird Song > Other One verse 1> Bird Song was killer. Jack Straw to open the second set was a nice surprise, always a treat to hear that song. The rest of the set was excellent. The jam out of space was Other One themed, with Skip playing around and teasing the kickoff (which he didn’t do in there first set). “My Favorite Things” tease was in there for a couple bars. The drummers came back on and Skip kicked off the Other One with authority, a short jam and reprise to finish off the second verse. Day Job was dedicated to everyone working hard to stay above water over this tough past year. Overall a great weekend 😃

  7. Love this show, Space > The Other One is very intense ⚡️⚡️
  8. It’s mentioned in a couple places on the website that the music will be broadcast through a festival PA, as well as though an FM signal for those who want to stay in their cars. I checked before I got tickets, but you got me nervous! I saw a couple FM broadcast shows last fall, and they were tough to enjoy. The PA drive in shows I saw were awesome and loud, and these will be too. https://www.sussexcountylive.com/information
  9. What a killer show last night. Fun Day Tripper to start, followed by a rocking Alabama >Greatest Story. Roses was a nice breather and sweetly played. Sunrise was good, the only break from the 80s theme in set 1. Bird Song >Let it Grow>Bird Song let me get lost inside for a while, and the Bird Song reprise was a welcome surprise. Set 2 came on strong, with Help>Slip> Stranger leading the charge with waves of intensity. Ship of Fools was nailed by Jeff, as Zuck said. Truckin was fun, with big bombs. Low Spark eased its way out of Truckin, slinky and sneaky sounding, and was superb. My only notes from the night say “delirious spiraling keyboard” during Low Spark, really was enjoying what Barraco was doing. Imagine instrumental out of space was beautiful, with Jeff and Barraco leading the way, with Barraco using some kind of amazing sounding delay, full band eventually joined in and held the crowd spellbound. Season of the Witch was fun and spooky, Morning Dew was splendid as always. Had a great time hanging out with good friends and throwing it down last night. Made it back home for Halloween scavenger hunt with the kids, everyone have fun tonight and tomorrow 🥰
  10. My favorite Jack Straw is from this night, what a scorcher ⚡️⚡️
  11. Thanks gr8fulpair. I’ve been lucky that they have been able to play a bunch within driving distance. This was my last one until the Halloween weekend, been nice to catch a few. Saw LIkeEveryOne last night as well as a bunch of familiar faces and friends, it was fun.
  12. I might have some songs mixed around, and possibly one missing in the first set. This was a fun show, an actual real live show that we parked and walked into, with spaced 8’ square grids to allow for social distancing. The staff was polite but firm about the rules (masks on outside of your grid was the main one). The venue was on a large farm, with the concert lawn on a fairly steep slope. Tough dancing terrain, my feet and legs are killing me. Rained on and off all day, continuing on and into the concert with light to moderate rain. We got wet but it was fun. The songs were all solidly played, Foolish Heart and Terrapin were the highlights for me. Had fun all night, my apologies to whoever has the grid I was in tomorrow for any damage I might have done to the wet turf. Did not slip or fall once, though! Thought for sure with the wet grass I would go flying at some point in the night. 😃

  14. Barraco did a car themed segment for the drive in during Lovelight, talking about people feeling fancy with their GTOs, Corvette, Mustang, etc. Other topics covered included box backed knitties, pocket pool, “what’s yo name”, etc 😁
  15. My first 69 style show, this was a splendid night. This venue was excellent, full PA with great sound. Fall colors starting to show and nice weather with a brief and refreshing shower of light rain mid second set. There was a little trouble in the first couple songs, where the PA cut in and out and we could only hear the stage, but it was quickly fixed and caused no further troubles. Doin That Rag was sung with youthful exuberance. Dark Star was fantastic. Death Don’t was masterfully delivered, and Easy Wind broke the somber mood perfectly and finished the set out with fun. After a little break, Dancin got everyone on their feet, really high energy jam in there. My first time seeing them do Attics, great harmony singing with Skip soaring high. The final sequence was relentless, high energy throughout. Me and Jake persevered, but it was a battle of endurance to keep up. Perfect Ripple encore. Killer show and it was a thrill to see a full onslaught 69 style show for the first time. We had the pleasure of meeting Franknkeene after the show and he kindly offered us space to camp out at his place, thanks Frank!!

  17. It was cool to see Lisa on the harmonica on CC Rider, and also on Hand Jive. Kind of like Barraco as Pigpen on Satisfaction earlier this month in Canandaigua, it is cool to see them further blending their collective talents into their elective shows.
  18. Hey Frank, it would be great to meet you, and thanks for the kind offer on camping at your place. Would be great to meet you and take you up on the offer, I’ll keep an eye out for you over there!
  19. Says they will have a full PA, definitely gonna try to make these, at least for night one, hope to see some friends there (ahem BillK) 😃
  20. I think we’re gonna head up for this show, looks like fun, says they have a concert PA there.
  21. My mistake, it’s not in the FAQ. They give you this link when you check out, and have you check a box to confirm you’re not traveling from anywhere in the red zone. Most northeast states have some kind of travel restriction right now, with VT restricting travel on a county by county basis. https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/travel
