Dang, sounds like they really stretched it out on that one.
  2. They have their instrument tones and song arrangement so just exactly perfect, and really sound like the Grateful Dead. Jeff has the Jerry tone for this song nailed, and Rob and Skip also both have great tone, as always. Looks like a good time. My little two year old just walked up while I was watching this and said "daddy Jerry".
  3. Looks like a great time. Happy for all you folks who got to enjoy this night.
  4. Killer show, band was on fire. Chilly inside, but the band rocked the house and we warmed up in short order. Skip sang "started off on Nyquil" in Tom Thumb's blues, pretty funny. Second set was amazing end to end, freight train thunder during the China/Rider and Estimated, some absolutely transcendent playing during Eyes of the World, and Stella Blue out of The Other One was a sweet surprise, with Rob seeming to tease heavily at the opening chords to Wharf Rat during the jam before the second verse of The Other One. Absolute mayhem outside the venue, which had a large group of vendors, etc. who came over from the first night of Dead and Company in Boston. Kind of shocking to see outside of a DSO show. A night to treasure, for me.
  5. Today in Grateful Dead history 😁 11/8/70 Capitol Theater, great Dark Star.
  6. Oh man, I think it's time to give this one a play, right now 👀👽
  7. Was heading over to post that one, such a good and spooky sounding Dark Star. Reading the reviews from this show is fun, too.
  8. Hahaha, that is a funny review. Something tells me he's using a pseudonym 🤔🤔
  9. Thanks for the heads up, looking forward to the show. Looks like this place has a pretty good capacity, huh? Gonna try to get down early from CT to attempt to beat the traffic, see how that goes.
  10. Anybody have any idea on when DSO is taking the stage? Tried calling the venue, but all they have is some recorded schedule announcement. Looks like there is a Neil Young cover band kicking off the night, who knows how long they will play. Hope for clear skies, supposed to be some peak meteor shower activity this night.
  11. Lots of fun at this show. Highlights for me were He's Gone, The Other One and Comes a Time. Rob was on fire on the keys all night.
