So great to see everybody. Keller was killer! Attended and taped the original. One of my "rafter" tapes. My son was a baby at the time.and I would set up directly in front of stage as high up in the nosebleed section as I could - against the back wall.. Tapes came out surprisingly good with a lot of the crowd noise and chatter being avoided. Can't wait for tonight!!

WEATHER REPORT - SWEET: High 70's for highs and high 50's for lows all four days. Chance of rain 35% Fri. & Sat.; 46% Sun. & 57% Mon. Can't wait!!!

HELP! Trying to get tics. for Vic. Not having any luck with "Tickets". Is the show sold out? If so, anybody got any extras. Need three.

I texted my daughter telling her that the Queen's funeral is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 19th. That day happens to be her wedding anniversary AND Talk Like A Pirate Day. I questioned whether the service will be spoken in "Pirate". She replied, "When those damn Brits talk, it sounds like "Pirate", anyway." She is wise beyond her years.

I just now purchased two-day "bundle" tics. $49.50 tax, title and out-the-door per ticket. The $5.00 per tic. discount still applied.

At least got to hear the Louisville Louie Louie (final one). Have tape of original. I call it "the rafter tape". My son was was a baby. I set up straight from the stage in the last (highest) row. Crowd noise was minimized - better than taper section, or sdbd. for that matter.

6/25/85 Blossom - Day Tripper! Then 6/25/88 Buckeye Lake - hottest temp ever (106 degrees) in Hebron. Those that came from Alpine were well accustomed to the heat after four shows in five nights with 100+ everyday in Wisc.

Directions to Soldier Field Years ago, on my first trip to Soldier Field, I stopped at a service plaza on the Indiana Turnpike. Ran into a guy who was obviously on his way there (I could tell by his demeanor and his dress.) Asked him for directions. His reply: "Go to Chicago. Get on L.S.D. You can't miss it!"

Am holding out hope that Billy Strings may make a surprise appearance Saturday at the Jubilation. He is scheduled to be at Bonnaroo on Friday but has nothing noted for Sat. He has some history with DSO (Jubilee a couple of years ago). If RMB are doing late night sets, he just might fit right in. I guess we can always dream. πΆππ· πΆππ·

This talk of Low Spark . . . makes me long for some live performances. Hoping we get to have the Jubilee this year (tics in hand - didn't redeem 2020 issues). Have yet to hear DSO's rendition of same. Hoping that its in the offering this year. Last time I heard Low Spark live was at Legend Valley (Buckeye Lake at the time) when Traffic opened for The Boys. Lots of rain that evening. Traffic encored with "Rainmaker" (off the flip-side of Low Spark album) and the Dead opened with "Rain" (Beatles - "When the rain comes, they run and hide their heads . . ."). Funny, looking back, I have a hard time remembering the uncomfortable drenching on the hill.

Did not request refund for Jubilee tics. Just rolled 'em over.

Rude: Not a whole lot of people will know you are saying "IUPUI". TIGDH - 7/4/86 Rich Stadium, Buffalo. GD then Dylan & Petty. My first date with my wife. Thirty-four years and three kids later....
-
7/2/86 Akron Rubber Bowl - Dylan with Tom Petty and Dylan with the boys for a few songs. I remember "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" in the first set and "Desolation Row" in the second - both firsts for me. I remember thinking "Boy I sure wish Jerry would have done the vocals".

I plan on flying to Fla. (yikes) to catch a few shows where it will be likely that i would be exposed to many people (yikes). But on the other hand, I'm sure it would be worth it. Maybe I should restrict my shows to outdoor venues.

Desolation Row at the Vic a year or two ago.

"Obscure Dylan Song"? Memphis Blues? If he caught a lot of shows in the late 80's/early 90's, Memphis Blues would not be obscure. I also question his statement about opener Eyes/Estimated "tons of times" during that time period - or any time period for that matter.

Did you hear the one about......?
How Do You Do? replied to Greg from Chestertown's topic in Comedy Central
What was the last thing that Lot said to his wife? "Is somebody following us?" -
Single day passes have not been an option in the past, but tickets at the gate get cheaper as each day passes.

Re: Sunshine of Your Love encore. Went to a Lynard Skynard concert right after their 1st (self-named) album came out. After the first encore, they came back and announced, "We've played all of our songs. Now here's a couple from the very best!" and proceeded to play White Room followed by Sunshine....

Mason:. It was grate getting to meet you, your better half, and your beautiful daughter!

My son & I attended the show last night and the original as well. He was three years old the first time around.

Wonderful venue. Show was short on talkers and long on music! Far from Me followed by Easu got me thinking Indy '84, but thought was not confirmed for me until Day Job encore. Attended original. On to Indy for recreation of another show where i was at original. Don't know that I've ever had such a two-fer.
