damn Rude how sad but true this is. Grateful Dead in the mothballs of history, Well not for us around here and plenty more others but that whole shit you said hurt to read. I have people that know that I’ve been into the dead for years all of a sudden asking me stupid questions About dead and co and now they assume I’m a John Mayer fan hahaha which makes me laugh. It is what it is man, at least the music is still going, like I’ve said before its not the dead as far as how we like to hear but it is still bobby Billy and Mickey up there. Mostly nostalgic It has it moments of great music and moments of slowness, I don’t wanna call it bad. It’s badly paced. I said in a last post I probably won’t go this weekend to citi field but it’s my bday, it’s 30 mins away, the suns gonna be out and why the fuck not…I’m gonna end up going to at least one if not both nights.

Exactly Rude. Set lists are actually good on paper when I look at them. It’s how they play it.

Dead and co is getting worse from some of the videos I’ve seen this year. I’ve gone to a couple shows every year and I think I’m throwing in the towel. And there’s a show on my bday at citi field. I love Bobby and how he’s carried the torch. Went to alot of furthur and some rat dog, just saw wolf bros at radio city but for some reason these dead and co shows don’t get there. I don’t wanna feel like I’m not enjoying live dead music, can’t get into it or can’t dance. And that’s what it’s come to. The ticket prices are robbery and Besides the pace, Mayers voice is to bluesy/pop for this shit. I heard him do sugaree this past week and it was tough. The dude can def play the guitar parts, there’s no doubt about that. Last year at Hershey park he took Tennessee Jed on that end of the song jam to some crazy place and I loved it. He’s had some moments of nailing the guitar parts. I think it’s been 7 years now of overpaid tickets for decent ( at best) live dead , it’s not worth it. this band is cool for new super young heads as well as old heads who still wanna see the boys on stage, the lots cans be a lot of fun too. This is just my opinion because these shows are all packed so people are diggin them. For people who love dso they know that’s where it’s at. But just musically dead and co is nowhere near DSO, at all. Looking forward to Saturday in jersey next week in Hampton beach and then next year Jamaica here i come

This thread is terrible, the band got sick bottom line. Let them heal and get better just like everyone else. Most of the world at this point has gotten sick and/or vaccinated. Everyone needs to chill it’s so pathetic at this point. Telling the band to cancel shows and bringing up Communism? Goebbels?? Just stop That’s fucking ridiculous. Just shut up and let this shit pass so we can get back to seeing the band. -
5/8/77 famous show and 11 days later 5/19/77 are excellent. My top choices

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CWi_fPzD0QC/?utm_medium=copy_link please watch 😂😂 they made a interesting point on tales from the golden road on SiriusXM. Deadheads hold Jerry near their hearts and are very hard to satisfy when it comes to Jerry related things. Kind of Like when John Mayer started. So Jonah Hill as first is probably not anyone’s first choice. And as long as it’s not a junkie documentary (words they used) it should be pretty good. Is a he a fan? Who knows his extent of love for dead music. He’s pretty fucking funny and played some good roles. So all we can do is hope it’s not a shitty portrayal of Jerry and a good depiction of him and the band. Val Kilmer played a mean Jim though. Either way who gives a fuck I’m happy DSO is back on the road
