A stranger filled my water bottle for me - took it without me knowing, filled and returned. hey you know how in Bertha after the line “ throw me in the jailhouse” there is that strong chord - well it was done twice. Ha! We were having that much fun. I always want to count how many anymore’s there will be but haven’t put the idea into action. Seems like a fun trivia nerd thing to do.

Well well well. A night that begins with HSF is full of promise and tonight was not a disappointment. The bass was rumbling and all the heart cylinders pumping. The band went ahead and slid on into a SLINKY Red Rooster like an alligator sliding down the river embankment. Slide guitar had just that twang and groove - and Barraco finish it up with the Brent response. Sweet broken arrow... shot and miss ...such humanity and plainly frank. A nice cool breeze in the set. Cumberland kicked it and the ride began. Passenger let me release my inner tap dancer with a great piano solo, and Expressway rocked in out. I could’ve been happy there. Then a cowboy twofer kept the crowd hopping. But we are in song deep and ending with cowboy songs a weird option. Rubin and Cerise was a dream closer. Loveliness. I almost don’t know how to express my joy sometimes but it comes through in the dance. I love my tribe. :)) You make me so very happy. I’m so glad you came into my life. Fun second course! And I am so glad Alligator came out to play!! He was in solitary last night under the plastic on stage. Nobody took him home Friday to cuddle and he was out on the town tonight! Viola was funky as hell and got super fast just like we like it and ended in a completely new and original way, ha!!. And.... guys Baby Blue... 💕♥️⚡️💙 Thanks band! Always a treat. Thanks crew! ....What about Kenny? This ain’t a South Park episode. I saw his cute lady. Hear all is better. Thanks for finishing up tour here- 💯🤙🏼.

Epic ness Inc terrapin. Arethra Franklin voice, singing, coming out of space. Glory hands and Sister act in the eves. Dear Mr Fantasy. The love light was outstanding great dance space,. And another Easy Wind encore in black mountain Thanks Rob88- it is a fav. 😍

The dreaded “where is my ticket?”. I learned a new acronym. O.H.I.O.: only handle it once.

I recall we had storms in the forecast last year and it drizzled a smidge. That’s it. Rain seems to always be in the forecast with afternoon thundershowers this time of year. It can be torrential rain in one spot and dry as a bone just 200 ft away. 🤪

Sometimes birdsong can be deconstructed- like a Playin— maybe even edgy—- I’d think it would have to approach that at some point to work going into Watchtower and then after the hard driving Watchtower like a breath of fresh air- a release of sorts,

I know, right ??? My gf recounted last night while on tour her night severely went terrible on Victim. Everyone’s demeanor changed and lurkers emerged. And then the song careening into Drums Space was no relief. To run to the bathroom would have been a safer place for rizzle,

Haha. Gosh- i left that show early... I hope it was just a good dream gone bad. Lost Sailor -> Victim was like having chocolate milk with creamed spinach. I think I was sleeping too hot.,.

I was having a fantastic dream last night but when the dream took a turn, I awoke abruptly. So in my dream, I was hanging with some friends on the front row just behind the “orchestra” seats. Sweet spot right ? We had all the space to hang and dance. The show opens with Bertha -> Don’t Ease Me in, Everybody’s dancing and having a blast. The music is sounding good. They start playing Lost Sailor and with all this room, I was loving the space to twirl and spin and pas deuce beurre. But then the band went into Victim or the Crime. That is when I stopped dreaming and abruptly awoke. I guess that scared me. 😂

I loved 7/18/89 Alpine the best of the three nights. My first China Doll had me in the dreamiest state hanging out under a clump of trees over on Phil’s side and loving the music. I stayed there until the monster Dear Mr Fantasy Hey Jude. Maybe my favorite song block ever at a show.

David Ball and Walter Hyatt of “Uncle Walt’s Band” were both from Spartanburg, SC. Lyle Lovett used to open for them. Lovett styled his hair after Walt’s doo and said sometimes when he played there was only one person in the audience, Walter Hyatt. There is today’s little ditty for ya.
