    Football

Seahawks won their super bowl beating Russ week one. May not win another game all year. My Russ MVP bet ain’t lookin so hot, but my Jalen Hurts one might be 🔥🔥
  2. Oh man sorry to hear. Hugs to you and the family.
  3. Whew. Glad it wasn’t just us. Hope your right. In my experience messages like that means we got screwed by the bots/scalpers. 🤣🤣🤣
  4. Did the bots get all the Chicago tix? Luke says he’s been getting a loading screen the last hour, says wait while we search for available tix. I tried and got the same
  5. Chicago/st Louis are happening. Milwaukee is a solid maybe (probably)
  6. I would love to do the chi town St. Louis weekend double, but Chicago is a pain in the ass travel wise for me. I’ve never seen DSO in Chicago because I have typically avoid the city the last 15 years due to cost and just being shitty to get around in general
  7. Last night we rolled 4 deep into Lucas oils for the colts owner Jim Irsay band show. He had his collection of artifacts on display which include Tiger, Dylan’s famous Newport folk fest guitar, and David Gilmore’s black strat which actually got played even after he spent nearly $4M on it. Mike mills from REM, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ann Wilson did about 30 minutes of zeppelin. Then at the end, Indiana Royalty Jonny Cougar Mellencamp came out which was awesome because Luke hates him but Indiana llooooooooooooves him. I laughed so hard I cried. He was smokin heaters the entire 1.5 song performance. If you have the chance to view that collection, it’s unbelievable. Not just music stuff sports like Ali’s belt from rumble in the jungle and Jackie robinson’s bat, along with letters from Lincoln and Washington and traditional history stuff
  8. Me and Luke did the Alpine run for Phish. I hadn’t been to AV since the Terrapin family reunion In like ‘04. Stayed in Milwaukee. Ate too much fried cheese. Any more than 3 days my heart may have gave out. 🤣😆
  9. I went to see Chest Fever, do a tribute to 50th anniv of Rock of Ages, if that act comes near you it’s worth the night out. Short show but they threw down. Was a real good time In a tiny venue maybe 60-70 people tops
  10. I feel like we saw different shows. 🤣😆 We stayed up top for space and sound and hung round in front of the VIP tent. Luke said he liked Friday's show over all 3 from Louisville. I thought that was a little much, but had a great time and didn’t leave disappointed in the least. The Fiddler feels to me like a perfect fit. Boys went back Saturday with friends but I stayed home for BCE in New Albany (basically Louisville) which was in an awesome little outdoor venue.
  11. I worked at a fruit and veggie and plant stand thru high school and I used to tell people they came from Tennessee to sell more. People would come in and ask for either homegrown or Tennessee tomatoes. And whichever they wanted, that’s what I had. 😆🤣
  12. I did Deercreek last week and then went up to Michigan but did Tedeschi trucks in Detroit rather than going up to Pine Knob. Was weird D&C played indy and Michigan same two days as TTB. 90% of the time I go to shows strictly for the music. Dead and co is the exception for me. The shakedown, seeing all the local heads that don’t come out for any other bands, and camping round Deercreek will always be enough to get me to the Creek for anything dead related. Especially by waiting and getting those day of show deals. My buddy took his 12 year old to her first concert. It was a good time. Saw a ton of old friends. I feel more at home in the lawn at Deercreek, than I do just about anywhere else in this world.
  13. Luke and I did the Trey solo acoustic opener in Louisville. Iroquois was barely half full. Was kinda surprised. We got super cheap tix off CoT an hour and a half before show. It was a fun little set. Trey said last time phish played Louisville was ‘95, and after the turnout he had I don’t see that changing. Lol
  14. I had to try out for Little shop of horrors in high school under threat of losing car privileges. So I did and was cast, (probably based on reputation) as a wino. I’m sure mom was beaming with pride as I rolled around drunk on stage. 🤣😆
  15. I was around but on mushrooms. Don’t remember tornadoes lol. We did post show shakedown on Saturday and pre show shakedown on Sunday.
  16. I did the Phish 3 day Deercreek run. Saturday was nuts. Friday/Sunday each had some moments of awesomeness.
  17. Absolutely perfect. Did GA as always just because I wanna hear every band. Plus the haul in and out sucks, but it ain’t so bad with a wagon. 3 trips up and down the hill and we didn’t have to move for 3 days. Heard all bands, only went to stage for DSO and a handful of others but what a weekend. Finally got a couple of buddies to come along plus Sammy and I think they may be for sure future attendees. So laid back. We camped next to VIP entrance in GA and used VIP facilities 30yds away all weekend w/no hassle. Stayed away from the mud (mostly) and had one hell of a music filled weekend. Cooked big Ol breakfasts, then ate disco at night, slept like a baby all 3 nights. Swear I get my best sleep in some field in a tent. Lol But of course the universe had to even things out and dump some shit on us Monday as we had a blowout on the way home. Luckily we had just crossed into KY. I believe that was the difference between being searched if we’d have been in Ohio, but in KY the cop was just glad we didn’t want his help and left us alone. 🤣😆 Rim was seized to the drum and it took over 2 hours to get the flat off to change the tire. Overall still a great weekend. Got tire fixed and oil changed and me and luke are camping Deercreek for phish next weekend. Caverns/Jubilee/Phish 3 weekends in a row and then I’m gonna need a break.

    Caverns #1

We always make “bets” when we go to shows and pick songs just to have a little competition going between the boys and I, it was more a way to keep them interested when they were younger, but they are 23-19 and still ask, “are we gonna take bets?” Sammy took Cumberland specifically because of the mine references but didn’t get it. We were kicking ourselves all weekend for no one taking the automatic point w/Tennessee Jed
  19. I wiped out hard in the gravel on the way in. 🤣😆 boys were inside already. Turned an ankle on a big rock I think. Spent the whole show physically feeling like I’d just had my ass kicked. Made way worse by sobriety this morning. 🤣 I’m sure it was a spectacle if anyone was outside. I was told I flew.
  20. I wish I could skip Tues-Thursday. I’m so ready for this shit
  21. Have they rebuilt the restaurant and trading post yet I wonder? When we were there for JGB we found out that it all burned down about ten days after DSO played the outdoor shows down there. The lodge and cabins were ok tho
  22. I’ll typically pick the winner then box 3 horses for 2-4. Lowers it from $48 to $12. If you pick the fist two and box last two it drops to $4. I’ll do a bunch of those and then ten totally random ones picking the horses I didn’t bet before. In the random I had 21-3-12-6 and was half right. That ought to at least be worth a $100 bill 🤣😆
  23. A $2 super paid nearly $700k. I had the longshot in first and the 2nd place horse. I didn’t get to watch and couldn’t hear as they announced the 3rd and 4th. Man I was sweatin. Thought for a minute I was retiring and going on permatour. Reality reared it’s head quickly tho when I checked my TwinSpires account and saw a whopping $4 in it. I musta had a horse scratch somewhere… and that was the only money I got back on derby day. 🤣😆
  24. Cyberknife Is my conspiracy “it’s fixed” horse. Lol. The trainer Brad Cox who won the derby last year after the real winner popped a positive drug test. So his horse technically won but he got none of the fanfare, didn’t get to celebrate, no roses, nuthin. So the “racing gods” put him in the winners circle tomorrow. Lol i like Mo D too i think Zandon and epicenter are the two best horses, but derby anything can happen.
