Wait, you mean some people have kids on purpose??? šš¤£
-
As long as I can use my boys as hired pack Mules Iāll be GA. Lol. I mean why else did I have them? šš¤£
-
I got an email from venue saying if you are doing GA and camping in the bowl, no additional passes are needed. So it is only changing for car campers I guess

I enjoyed JRaD when I went but was also dissatisfied with their sound. Was like I was listening with a hat pulled down over my ears. Was a killer show and I relistened to it and it was good, but the live sound was a bit of a letdown. Guess we are just spoiled

Crystal meth maybeā¦š¤£

I wonder if buying the car pass lets you drive down into the bowl and camp with vehicle? Or if by buying a car pass you are paying extra to camp in the lot atop the hill which would just seem silly to me.

I almost fell over the rail in the balcony one year at the Ryman. Was a NYE with old crow medicine show. Balloons dropped and I about did too. People behind me had the look on their faces like they just witnessed someone almost die, which was in all likelihood the case.
-
One of these years Iāll get down there for Christmas jam. Always broke throughout December as I prep for Christmas and wherever we are headed for NYE. Itās on my someday list though for sure

That Cincinnati show was Sammyās little buddyās first show with us and he sat in for Sam who couldnāt go. He knew a little dead but Sammy said he sang wang dang doodle for like a year straight every time he saw him after that š¤£š¤£

Did you hear the one about......?
Dead duck replied to Greg from Chestertown's topic in Comedy Central
An 80 year old couple wanted to rekindle some excitement for their anniversary so the night before as they went to bed they made plans to show up for and eat breakfast naked. So theyāre sitting there the next morning and the wife says, āthis is really working, my nipples are as hot for you this morning as theyāve ever beenā The old man looks up, then back down and says without missing a beat āthatās because one of them is in your oatmeal and the other is in your coffee.ā -
Yeah I wanna say we got a real old school show a handful of years back at the HoB in Cleveland. Was a buddy of mineās first show. Then his second show was another old school show in Louisville. I guarantee no one in the history of dead/Darkstar fandom had gotten a ābig boy Peteā at their first two shows. But he did. šš¤£š

Such a good time, and awesome show. Loved that they had the sign language translators. I noticed about a few songs into the first and a few songs later i had a thought and I got to laughing and couldnāt stop. Told the boys that I was hoping for a lovelight with a down and dirty Rob B pigpen rant so I could watch and possibly record the sign language translation of āwaking up to Woodrow Wilson and a box of tissuesā šš¤£

Set One: Feel Like A Stranger ; They Love Each Other > C. C. Rider ; Cumberland Blues ; Mama Tried > Mexicali Blues ; Althea ; Cassidy ; Loser ; Music Never Stopped Set Two: Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Playing In The Band > Terrapin Station > Drumz > Space > Not Fade Away > Black Peter > Around And Around > Johnny B. Goode Encore: U. S. Blues F. Love the one youāre with Musically the show was great. Good crowd energy too. Unfortunately I havenāt been that miserable in a venue maybe ever. Took forever to get in, No re-entry, no space anywhere, no smoking deck, set break was a panicked mess, had me feeling super claustrophobic, everyone was trying to get somewhere not knowing there was nowhere to for anyone go. Medical emergency cut āPlayinā short to wait for ambulance evacuation (updated the gentleman was ok) Looking forward to getting outa town and back to familiar territory

Love that venue. Tons of space, everyone is always super cool. We got 1-11-79 no time for filler. Other one albeit a quick one was awesome as always. Band seemed to enjoy the venue, Rob E dedicated show to his pops who passed on 11/10 years ago

What must all the states around me be so ass backwards? Iām never gonna get it and Illinois donāt count because Iād go broke smoking their stuff š¢

Itās been awhile since Iāve been in an inside venue thatās a smoke em if ya got em show. Was a nice change of pace to fire doobs at will.

Man what a weekend of shows. No one told me the balcony was the spot to be. I never saw anyone floor level all weekend. š¤£Need to start asking for the scouting report before I buy tix to a venue for the first time. Lisa blew the roof off the place both nights. So many awesome jams, I think Iāll do a 3 pack next weekend. See (some of) you in Brown county. My buddy kept saying āI donāt think you liked it as much as I did, that shit blew my mind, dear prudence has never been played better than thatā š¤£ I think heās starting to āget itā I said Why do you think I see them as often as I do, because I love driving, gas station food, and buying expensive gas? šš¤£
-
Jeff Beck had Jonny Depp with him. That part was less than ideal, but it sure did sell the tix. I havenāt seen that Palace that full maybe ever. Packed show
-
Luke and I are going to the Palace to see Jeff Beck tonight. Seeing JB on the old crossroads festivals on PBS was one of the very first things I remember Luke being interested in musically when he was little. The year he played with that Tal Willenfield (thatās a totally butchered spelling of her name most likely) blew his mind and started him down a great guitar player rabbit hole that led to his encyclopedic knowledge on the subject. To the point every time Rolling Stone releases a top 50 guitar players of all time he takes their discretions personal.

Website says brown county music center Nashville TN tho so maybe I donāt know what Iām talking aboot šš¤£

That brown county venue is a nice little spot in the forestry. Saw Bobby and wolf bros there. Seated but didnāt hassle you for dancing in the aisles. Will try and add that to Chicago/St. Louis trip
