I did Jethro Tull in Indy. Was surprised that they sounded as good as they did. also did the Oak Ridge Boys at KY state fair. 8 year old me was geeking out. And they didn’t sound bad for their age either. Was their 49th year at KY fair. Doubt that record will ever be touched by another artist. Lol

F: Ripple I don’t know if it was enhanced by my buzz but last night was the most comfortable I’ve been at an outdoor venue in the summer maybe ever. Outdoor show but all under pavilion with large sun shade hanging down and huge fans. I went to very top where it was like being in a wind tunnel so the heat was neutralized. The big shade took care of the sun. I went to back for space and air and had an abundance of both. Security didn’t wanna climb the stairs so it was a toker’s free for all. Dance party USA. I hope the band enjoyed playing it as much as I enjoyed watching it. Grate stuff now I’m on the bench til Newport I think….

Awesome time. Original recipe. Quinn opener. Broken Arrow, woman enough, and Birdsong/music/birdsong was a perfect set closer. 2nd set new speedway, uncle johns, st Stephen and holy shitballs death don’t have no mercy brought the house down. I’m missing a ton. Memory be damned

Am I seeing right that Indy is a 6 start time?
-
Luke and I did dark side of the Mule and Jason Bonhams Led zep exp. Fewest amount of people I’ve ever seen at Deercreek. Made for a super comfy evening. Scored $11 lawns day of. Then Sammy and I did Jerry night at the Reds. Love how they put in the clock to speed the game up but why not use that to start games after sun goes down instead of a 6:40 start time in a million degrees heat and blazing sun? Then these geniuses wear black jerseys taboot and lose in extra innings. I’ve been to quite a few games and NEVER one time seen them win in person. 🤣 afterwords a fireworks show with GD soundtrack and a bobble head was the reward. Sitting through the game in the heat was the price we had to pay. Lol

He showed Hyryder a ton of love all day Saturday. I believe they have a future at the ledges. Definitely felt that way to me. When Melvin was on stage there was a similar rant pumping up HR and he was like yeah and here’s Melvin. Lol. He is definitely a rant guy.

Hyryder did the damn thang

Me and Luke did Alabama/Atlanta phish run. 5 shows like to have killed me in that heat. I shows is plenty. I think we are doing the Bridgestone shows too. Along with DSO Indy and Newport. Wanna go th the ledges this weekend. Neither boy can go but it’s a pretty good lineup and I wanna go back

Doing Phish in Alabama/Atlanta with Luke. Love this small venue in Huntsville. Orion Amphitheater. We sat in the absolute back and was like having pavilion seats at Deercreek. lol gave em a whole lot to have shakedown, free parking, restaurants and hotels galore within a mile. Great setup if anyone gets a hankerin’ for an Alabama getaway. They even let you in the venue early to buy merch then leave and come back

The drone show during Dr/Sp getting a lot of love. My buddy (on shrooms) said it was one of the most amazing things he’s ever seen. Lol

He blows my mind sitting in with any type of band and just lighting it on fire. Truly an amazing person to watch play

I did the 2 nights of goose at the Louisville Palace. I enjoyed it. I’ll catch them when they are close. Saw dead and C o at Deercreek. We had a group of 10, and shenanigans ensued. Was a beautiful time and a monster shakedown. Currently sitting in the rain down at terrapin hill farm. Took in Hyryder and Rumpke last night and a full night of bluegrass ahead of storms allow.

I went to see Goose to see what the kids have been talking about. Avoided really listening to them before seeing them. Nice jams. Catchy tunes. Great lights. Pricey merch. But the Palace was hot af inside. Was wishing I was outdoors in a field somewhere watching instead of balcony. Lol going again tonight tho

I have a friend who got a BBP at his first two shows. 2nd being that Louisville show, 1st was early set from Cleveland HOB a year or two before. I told him he had to be the only person in history with multiple shows and 100% Big Boy Pete exposure 🤣
-
I was at the trap last night for Hyryder. Was a last minute decision. But I got myself in the stream mid first set as an Easter egg for any of you who go to watch it. 🤣🤣

I remember what it’s like to play with new toys… when keep on growin first popped into rotation. I felt like I personally had about a 60% hit rate on that song for about a year.

Was an awesome weekend for sure. Night three I staggered up to an opening in the crowd to get ready for DSO and looked around and was just surrounded by forum folks. Putting some more faces to names is always fun (even if I won’t remember the names). I feel bad sometimes for people who chase other dead bands and don’t know how good it can be. We are spoiled. This weekend is evidence. As long as I’m able, I will continue to not miss a jubilee

I had a blast again. It’s been an awesome weekend

Yeh 1st set looks a little jumbled. I don’t recall Cassidy Peggy’o or MNS, 1st ended w/miracle Bertha maybe? Possible things were jumbled in the interest of time? I could also have blanked out for a stretch here or there. 🤣
-
Phish is a person you bang for fun. A little skanky, but fun. GD is marriage material. Lol
-
I’m hoping I get lucky and get a couple Midwest weekend runs when I don’t have tickets to be out of town somewhere else. DSO is my favorite show by a mile, but jubilee is all I have on the horizon on that front.

In 97 a security dude at a Deercreek campground told me that he hated the phish kids because there were always fights and theft when they came to town. I held on to that bad energy grudge for a long time. Then a buddy said he had free tix to see them at Deercreek in ‘21 and it was his birthday so I said what the hell. I had a good time. I’ll do the Deercreek run yearly and maybe a spare weekend run here or there. They are never gonna have me in tears like the Hunter poetry and Jerry licks, but I seem to have a good enough time. Luke likes going, Sammy still refuses. 🤣

Luke and I went up to Newport to see “end of the line” Allman Bros tribute. Out of Nashville, I’ll definitely catch them again. They are at Z bar in Louisville Saturday but I’m outa town. So we looked to see if we could catch them nearby somewhere else and they played Newport last night.
-
I’m hoping to get a Cincy and Indy weekend sometime in summer/fall. But yes I’m also holding a buttload of tix for other stuff and I have to hope for no schedule conflicts. 😆🤣
