I always assumed it was venue dependent. I may be wrong but like Egyptian Room in Indy never does it. So I just assumed it’s venue related. I could definitely be wrong tho

An hour and a half drive each way. I call that “local” 😆😂 will review if I make it

Anyone ever seen the Garcia project? Supposed to be in Covington (near Cincinnati) Saturday. Don’t think they’ve played down this way before or if they have I haven’t heard. They recreate JGB shows I think. I may try to make it up that way.

I saw him at Wanee 2 years ago. He sat in with WSP and Mule and a ton of other acts plus his band played multiple sets and they played on a stage trailer that drove through the campground and there was a train of people dancing and following it. Was the first I’d ever heard of him but he could tear it up

All the cornmeal talk had me reminiscing about jubilee 1. Great music, shit weather, but good vibes prevailed and great times were had.
-
They’ve both been to around 20ish DSO shows. Oldest a few more because he’s been to a couple Jubilees without my youngest but he got like 4 or 5 “firsts” over the 2 BM shows and was thrilled that he went.
-
He learned his lesson the hard way about the mulchy dance floor. Feet were killing him by the end of night 1. 😆😂

Boy am I glad I made the trip. Aretha space was powerful stuff. Both shows knocked it out of the park, my boy fell in love with the mountains. I got to put a few more faces to names in here which is always awesome. Next time I get down that way without the kids I’m gonna try to be more social pre/post show, although I prefer to deal with the popo as little as possible. 😆😂

Man, missing these acoustic shindigs hurts my soul. Looks like you guys are gettin the goods. Enjoy
-
I’ve got a “makes no difference” while I’ve never had a TN show. Possibles being the acoustic show in Bloomington And the “was supposed to be a ‘72 but ended up being a original in the style of ‘72” at the Vogue in Indy, also my only “two souls”

never saw this before. Good stuff

Man did I? My boy and I had a slice a day and may have went back for a 2nd one night. They were really on top of their game this year too. Sam and I talked about it may have been the best we’ve ever had although it could have been because it had been a whole year without it. 😆😂

Excited to see this at the Jubilee
-
One of these years I’m gonna go Jubilee>John Hartford Memorial. I say it every year. It never pans out😢

Nice. Happy anniversary

Any time “the stranger” makes an appearance the set list gets an “A” from me. Killer show it seems
-
I was thinking I’d heard them do it before. But couldn’t recall when or where so........ just left it alone.

Yup. First NYE run with DSO. Very excited. It’s been hell sitting on this secret from August until yesterday. I’ve almost spilled the beans multiple times. Boys and my cousin in tow, we are leaving here 5-6 AM Friday to get there hopefully a couple hours pre show Friday. See you all in Philadelphia!!

Hoping for no snow as I’m putting in the 10 plus hour trek to come up to philly for these. Any advice on philly would be awesome. Anything from which cheesesteak to try to electric factory security heads up to where to watch football Sunday. Also I think we are staying less than a half mile from shows. Is any part of Philly walkable or is that a dumb idea? We are probably gonna do the Independence Hall your and liberty bell and shit Saturday. CANT FREAKIN WAIT!!!! My first DSO NYE.

For super selfish reasons I’d like to see one in Indianapolis. 😆😂. Easily accessible. Hotels/food Check. And less than 3 hour drive for me. Like I said. Selfish. Lol

As far as i know it just sprinkled on and off most of the night after music. Sun came out early Monday and was still able to dry everything out before we packed up. Hit road about 11:30 Monday morning.
