I did Grateville on the river in Louisville. BCE, hot brown smackdown, pranksters, grateful dads; Mr. Please; Captain midnight; pink talking fish todays bluegrass/old and in the way day. I’ll probably watch a little football early and roll over there later.
-
I did Indy last night and am doing pink talking fish in Covington tonight. Sam and his fiancé are still coming up for Billy tonight.

I did Lazy summer home this weekend. Highly recommend. Maybe same guy who owns the Trap owns this place? (I could be wrong) super cheap weekend. Not enough people to worry about bad bathroom conditions. Pool and shit. Reminds me of the black mountain KOA scenery wise. Cabins to rent but I reserved a car camp spot by a pond. Cool little Hyryder family owned place about 25 minutes from Deercreek. I literally stayed at a hotel off this same exit two weeks ago with Luke for phish. 2 weeks before that I did the ledges with Sammy and AC. Also this place is Right by the casino in Anderson and also near Uranus fudge factory. 🤣😆

The last “I guess it doesn’t matter, anyway” before the solo. The MSG run Sept 87 comes to mind. And that solo is shot out of a cannon and filled with rocket fuel.
-
I did both also. Just weed for phish, dosed for 2/3 of D&C. Can confirm not needed but took it to another level for sure.

I recommend it. I mean dead and co is what it is, but the sphere is the show and a mind blowing experience. Boys are going out that same weekend but I don’t think they’ll land in time for DSO. Dead visuals on that screen with that sound was craaaaaaaazy and I recommend catching it now because the Eagles have it next. 🤣

I’d say about 80% of my NCAA bball viewership was based on whether Walton was calling the game. I loved him now…….. But as a kid I f’ing hated his ass. I was an NBA nerd thru the Jordan years and my dad was a Larry bird Celtics fan. By the time Bill got to the C’s he was older and always hurt and cried about every call. It was Pre internet so I had no knowledge of UCLA or Trailblazer Bill. I just saw old broke down crybaby bill. And once my dad and I were in a memorabilia shop and there was a framed article on the wall. “Why Bill Walton was the greatest center to ever play the game of basketball” and my dad laughed his ass off as I ranted about all the guys I thought were a million times better. Best part was the the end of the article was in small print…. “Written by Bill Walton” 😆🤣🤣 I of course learned the legend of Walton and once I became a head obviously our relationship in my mind changed. He was an American treasure. I’d love to put out 1/10 of the love of life he showed when at a show or calling a basketball game.

Awesome weekend. Got to visit with many as we set ourselves up to be a pit stop on the way to stage from VIP. Stayed dry where it counts although we about lost a pop up by opening back up too soon after the storm. 🤣 my favorite sets (besides the 3 DSO shows) were Holly bowling, Greensky/Holly/Donato, Jeff and friends, and Keller grass. Another jubilee in the books. Always my favorite weekend of the year.

My guess is the US gov wants a bigger cut to continue to look the other way. still I’m hoping it improves things but when one super corrupt organization investigates a 2nd super corrupt organization, selfishly I don’t see things getting better for me. 😆🤣
-
I am seeing Disco Biscuits Tuesday but I’ll finally get to see Ms Emmy right before the jubilee
-
I saw Daniel Donato and cosmic country with Greensky bluegrass last night. Really enjoyed the show. Like seeing genres of music that don’t normally incorporate the extended jams, starting to stretch things out. They are both on the jubilee bill too so I’ll be seeing him again
-
Luke and I went to see the End of the Line Allman Bros tribute. I liked it better musically than Allman Betts family revival tour (although I enjoyed both). had a Buffalo Springfield for what it’s worth jam in blue sky and a spacey st Stephen jam in whippin post.
-
I’ll be out there for phish. Supposed to start a new job soon but if I don’t by May I may try and get back out there for a D&C or 2
-
Alligator (the guitar) gonna be there too I think. I’m in.

Del mccoury at brown county. Still sounds awesome. Love that little venue and the people who work it.

She said “what do I do?” I said my advice to anyone else would be hookers and coke. Lol. Not sure what you want from me here. Lol. She has been eating gummies on this trip, never been high in her life. 🤣
-
Yeah we are taking her to the sphere tomorrow before we leave. And her and Luke are going to see the Australian beegees tonight 🤣
-
Luke and I did U2 at the sphere in Vegas. It (the sphere) was unbelievable. U2 was fine. Concert would have been probably best I've ever seen had I been a bigger U2 fan. Lol. It’s intimidating as you approach it and to me it felt like I was being loaded into a spaceship which I wasn’t all the way cool with. 🤣 Mom hit $27k day 1 and $12k day 2 I have never seen no shit like this in my life. She is winning all over the place. 😆😆 Vegas baby. Lol

We did the outlaw tour with Bobby Willie and String Cheese up at Pine knob. Was good. Bobby am sat in and played williem’s whole set, then on the way home we did Farm Aid at Deercreek. Baked in the sun on the lawn from noon til midnight. Figured I may not get another chance to check Neil off the boys list. Then after Neil and before Willie a band came out and started playing in the dark, the lights flipped on right as Dylan ripped into Maggie’s Farm (heard it was first time played In Nearly a decade but didn’t fact check) he was an unannounced surprise and luke had never seen him either and was flipping out. We had an unbelievable time. Body and lungs are telling me about it today. 🤣

I did Jethro Tull in Indy. Was surprised that they sounded as good as they did. also did the Oak Ridge Boys at KY state fair. 8 year old me was geeking out. And they didn’t sound bad for their age either. Was their 49th year at KY fair. Doubt that record will ever be touched by another artist. Lol

F: Ripple I don’t know if it was enhanced by my buzz but last night was the most comfortable I’ve been at an outdoor venue in the summer maybe ever. Outdoor show but all under pavilion with large sun shade hanging down and huge fans. I went to very top where it was like being in a wind tunnel so the heat was neutralized. The big shade took care of the sun. I went to back for space and air and had an abundance of both. Security didn’t wanna climb the stairs so it was a toker’s free for all. Dance party USA. I hope the band enjoyed playing it as much as I enjoyed watching it. Grate stuff now I’m on the bench til Newport I think….

Awesome time. Original recipe. Quinn opener. Broken Arrow, woman enough, and Birdsong/music/birdsong was a perfect set closer. 2nd set new speedway, uncle johns, st Stephen and holy shitballs death don’t have no mercy brought the house down. I’m missing a ton. Memory be damned

Am I seeing right that Indy is a 6 start time?
-
Luke and I did dark side of the Mule and Jason Bonhams Led zep exp. Fewest amount of people I’ve ever seen at Deercreek. Made for a super comfy evening. Scored $11 lawns day of. Then Sammy and I did Jerry night at the Reds. Love how they put in the clock to speed the game up but why not use that to start games after sun goes down instead of a 6:40 start time in a million degrees heat and blazing sun? Then these geniuses wear black jerseys taboot and lose in extra innings. I’ve been to quite a few games and NEVER one time seen them win in person. 🤣 afterwords a fireworks show with GD soundtrack and a bobble head was the reward. Sitting through the game in the heat was the price we had to pay. Lol

He showed Hyryder a ton of love all day Saturday. I believe they have a future at the ledges. Definitely felt that way to me. When Melvin was on stage there was a similar rant pumping up HR and he was like yeah and here’s Melvin. Lol. He is definitely a rant guy.
