i thru hiked the AT in 2005. Started April 15th and finished oct 15. Do it!!! Just send your resupply to the post offices. Pack your boxes and have family mail them when you call with the address. Set them as hold for hiker and they all hold at the office. You won’t be able to go to a restaurant or bar and scarf down 3000 calories or mooch drinks as you tell your stories(I got so much booze food and weed free just using the “it’s tough thru hiking not being able to make any money” and you get all sorts of stuff bought for you). gogogo. Pro tip: 50% of the stuff you think you need, you don’t. The clothes on your back plus a jacket are the only clothes you need. You may actually need a tent with social distancing stuff, but I did it with no tent. That’s 4 pounds you don’t need. And get some trail runners. Hiking boots are too heavy.

There will be a point in America where people will just say fuck it. Not sure if that’s 3 months or 6 months but the time will come when printing money is no longer feasible. The caverns is rescheduled to 6/25, the day before St. Louis summer. Wonder if more to come on reschedules or just an 8 show early summer tour. on another note October may be a doozie. If jazz fest reschedules then plus dso’s fall plus so much else rescheduled it may make for a wild fall of choices.

Looks like jazz fest may also be cancelled and rescheduled in the fall. I thought I was all slick finding a direct flight to New Orleans for 5k southwest miles when 2nd weekend flights were 30k miles one way or $400 this winter. 400 mile flight from Nashville was $800 round trip this winter which means you drive. Dropped to $180 RT 2 weeks ago and I pounced. on that note I’m starting a ticket and flight refund service. I’ll sit on hold 1 hour with Ticketmaster to get your $50 tickets refunded for only $30. Great deal.

I booked 9 days in Maui leaving 3/30. That should boost my spirits sufficiently. Assuming tour won’t happen or at least some of it will be off the table.

wasn’t in 2018 between Cali and RR. The Wyoming looks like a 1 off fest. And Dso Mini summer tours have been right at 7 shows so this looks dead on a normal tour. I don’t wanna spend 3 days in Nebraska so seems smarter to fly from St. Louis to Colorado (after the aurora show)and spend a whole week there vs a corn field.
