  1. Real shows on a farm. My yesterday prediction came through way early. Tix on sale. I suggest you get row C spot 10. That’s front of house. Looks like best spot. People took front row way to the side already. Get those center spots guys!!!! The presale code SOUTHFARMS2020 gogogo edit: each spot is 2 people so I’d get row c spots 9-11 for a group.
  2. by next summer there will be large fields set up where bands can tour with circles like this. There wasn’t time to work this out this year but I’d guess buckeye lake will be having 2-3k person shows next year. That place is massive and they did 90k people shows in the day. the key is being able to link shows around the country. Bands have to tour to make money, not fly in for a show here and there. I would love to see Dso do a 1 week stand somewhere but not sure with that many shows in a row that they could pull enough average attendance for a place like buckeye. Plus it would suck to have to drive back to Columbus nightly with the way the state troopers love to harass festival goers there.
  3. Did anyone tally up estimated cars at the show? With that big of a lot I bet they could fit a good size crowd.
  4. late nigh scooter ride around Lucas oil stadium
  5. and we are now electric scooter people. I was told electric bikes are even better. Next I’ll be buying a Tesla running out of juice on a rural interstate and the troopers tell me they don’t like my kind of car and I end up crushed with it in a rural salvage yard never to be seen again, and all from scooters. Late night buzzed scooter riding is fun. Just make sure you look for curbs.
  6. So glad you guys got to see music. Try to get in everything you can before winter as it’s going to be a long one.......
  7. Saw an Instagram of the New York setup today. PA’s!!! Looks like Ellie will be filling in on bass or at least that’s how I took it.
  8. I still think eastbound and down would work well as an outlaw country combo. theres thirsty people in Atlanta and there’s beer in Texarkana. We gonna bring it back no matter what it takes. We gotta dodge then we gotta duckem we gotta keep that diesel truckin. in the guitar solo in the song there’s so much room for Jerry to play. Plus the fast bluegrass style would work great for Jerry to play while Bobby sings. Jerry could have played banjo then switched to guitar.
  9. WAP? Dso could add it to their repertoire.
  10. that was a super fun time!!! They push the envelope and a few times they came back together a beat off and laughed on stage but true improvising leads to that and those guys get lost in the music. I’d say they are between true dead and JRAD style but closer to dead, but make the songs their own style. Us midwesterners are lucky to have them play so much this summer. Ive seen many tributes and they are by far my favorite who aren’t a national tribute and really good guys too. Was surprised how many were there. Prob 500+. You will get to meet PG and hubby this weekend indy too. Gr8tfulpair had to back out or he’d have been there too. edit: this was the 1st time we’d hung out since 2014 cincy Dso show. Was a blast
  11. You don’t need to demonize a race of people to enforce immigration laws. You don’t need to play to the racists to enforce the laws. But with a 2 bit reality star, he wants ratings. Trying to divide the country like never in our lives. Now the election that hasn’t happened is already rigged. He’s trying to get the followers who believe conspiracies to take up arms. this is his latest conspiracy. Even Laura Ingraham whos a conspiracy theorists is confused by it. Evidently planes full of thugs wearing gear are flying commercial to tear down cities. This is the president ffs What does that mean?” asked Ingraham, a staunch supporter of the president who seemed flummoxed by what he was saying. “That sounds like conspiracy theory, dark shadows. What is that?” “No. People that you haven't heard of. They are people that are on the streets, they're people that are controlling the streets. We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend,” Trump said. “And in the plane, it was almost completely loaded with thugs wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms with gear and this and that. They're on a plane.” “Where is this?” asked Ingraham. “I'll tell you sometime, but it's under investigation right now,” said Trump. “But they came from a certain city, and this person was coming to the Republican National Convention. And there were like seven people on the plane like this person and then a lot of people were on the plane to do big damage.” if you believe anything out of his mouth I feel for you.
  12. Ive had 5 nights sleep and a lot of bourbon since I wrote that. There are no inaccuracies or lies in that post.
  13. There’s no herd immunity to the common cold or the flu. You don’t generally get either again until the next season but full herd immunity likely won’t ever happen.
  14. Eastbound and down great trucking song plus fast bluegrass tempo with banjo. Needs jerrys guitar style.
  15. next year people with big fields will be set up for concerts. That’s the way to go. Buckeye lake would be a great place to hold 3-5k people shows. Just paint circles to abide by local guidelines and make people stay in their zones. We did a show at Garfield Park in indy that was set up that way. In the UK there’s that virgin mobile concert field with platforms. The big concert promoters have the winter to figure it all out. Don’t really like the drive in concept. I want to see only people but you need a large area to make it financially possible. But won’t matter to me that much as I’ll be sleep deprived and home for most of the next 2 years.
  16. Seems weird now that it’s “political” to care about the health and well-being of people. Common sense never used to be political. Telling people don’t take drugs that don’t work or don’t drink bleach is political. This is the insanity we live in. One day saying lockdown then next day oppose the lockdown. Saying a mentally ill person should not be in charge of people’s lives shouldn’t be political. This ain’t about tax cuts or abortion. This is about new cdc regulations saying you shouldn’t be tested if you live with someone positive but you show no signs. That’s the newest way to lower cases after decreased federal funds to test. Yeah saying you got exposed and you need to be tested is political now. just read how many people in north Texas have been drinking bleach for corona. Theres no defending this shit. Someone who will go to any lengths to act like this is going away and refuses to do anything to help. Oh take this unproven drug. Then all the talking heads say it works. Oh drink bleach. He’s just being sarcastic. He’s a literal idiot. this is the random thoughts section
  17. I barely tolerated the turd previously, but only the very ill informed or ones whod follow him even if he shot someone on 5th Avenue would think he handled this pandemic well. He’s the head of the anti maskers ffs. People have been shot and attacked for refusing to wear masks and called it a liberal conspiracy. Promoting Qanon and already calling the election fraudulent is destroying the fabric of the country. And yes his refusal to take the pandemic seriously is why we are still fully in it as other countries are recovering. The steady stream of lies, dog whistles and threats of civil war if he doesn’t win is just too much. I hate narcissistic people as it is and this turd is the worst of the worst, but if you don’t understand economics and believe all manufacturing will return to America and immigration is bad then hes your guy. There’s good white supremacists too right. His fear mongering has already led to violence. Worried about the future with new congressmen who will win who back QAnon who’s main philosophy is that Hillary anc other Dems sell children as sex slaves. These are the dumbest our country has to offer that follow Q. 5g gives you Covid. Sorry but I won’t stay silent anymore! I won’t be complicit. I understand many are afraid to speak up. It’s ok. But I will speak up.
  18. saw Jrad do a no quarter jam in the middle of something
  19. I agree with nick saban. The protocols in place for football keep players safer than them having no football and running around campus at parties. They have testing multiple times a week and if you cancel football the kids are on their own and will likely catch it and spread it. Plus Clemson football prob has herd immunity after half the team caught it in the spring. Fraternities and sororities have already become breeding grounds at many colleges but football teams who are keeping players isolated in player dorms and keeping kids in shape playing sport can’t do their thing? I predict that SEC, ACC and big 12 will play. The only real threat to the ACC could be the carolina schools. This talk of big ten doing spring football right before the draft will be minor leagues. No pro prospect is going to play football and get hurt right before the draft. After bowl games players shut it down to not get hurt before the draft. If they get hurt in the fall they can mostly recover before the combine except major tears and breaks. Justin fields gonna QB osu a few weeks before the draft???? A lot of pro prospects have already opted out of this season as it is. On that note a team like Minnesota full of older players who aren’t top pro prospects could actually beat an OSU who may have 15 opt out.
  20. Here’s hoping football in the fall can save us!!!!
  21. Random thought i never sing at shows or generally make any sounds besides footsteps. Of course yell during the 2 crowd parts of OMSN or clap the nfa. But...if everyone else was quiet, we’d lose that crowd surround noise so....maybe talkers and drunk talkers and singers are not so bad. Tea got me started in this 6-23-88 alpine show and the rowdiness is palpable. But then alpine shows had to be great for the fans and the band. The Midwest is the best!!!! Next project. Gonna do every alpine show in a row. Summer up there is some great shit.
  22. Can’t wait til the racist fucks have their leader go down in flames. Wonder who’s white supremacist dick they will suck on next? Stephen Miller is likely best bet. I left Facebook almost 3 years ago because so many were exposed for their hypocrisy. The smart ones stopped defending the nonsense. I was tired of it all regardless. But its time to end this shit!!!!! 3 months until we can send the turd and his low IQ minions on their way. Luckily this is a dead site and not a kid Rock/ted nugent site.
  23. Looking for a bigger/better Bluetooth speaker. Always wanted to get a B&W zeppelin speaker to travel with. Yes it’s a tad large to haul around but not quite as big as some of the JBL 2 cubic foot speakers. We upgraded from the multitudes of $50 travel speakers while on Dso tour after our last garbage tiny speaker crapped out to a Sony SRS at a bestbuy in Columbus as it was the best available that had a battery but it doesn’t really cut it except for hotel use. I know some of you are audiophiles and i don’t trust promoted articles online and Higher quality portable speakers aren’t really available for listening where I am or almost anywhere.
  24. Been doing the summer 85 lead vocal echo tour. Healy had some toys and was overusing them lol. Starts fast and strong on 6/14. Starts to fade by the Hershey Park rain soaked show. There’s a touch of grey in the Greek theater run that’s so fast jerry skips coming in every beat to try to catch up. Impossible to really play jazz style when it’s that fast. Bobby is on fire vocally in that run. Not sure why they went that fast but it’s good music if you need to release some anger. if you want a song that’s the epitome of this tour sound wise listen to the 6/24/85 GSET. The lead vocal echo is sooooo over the top lol
