Wow 2 outdoor stages in March in New York. I’m guessing they will have toasty heaters for the band onstage.
-
I’m not saying they are a playoff team but think they are one of the 3 best. It’s like the undefeated 2007 patriots who lost to Eli in the SB. They were better than the giants but lost to them. Michigan has come on strong. They peaked at the right time and that DE of theirs is spectacular. He actually may be a successful nfl player even though Dallas and many other teams have bitten into the fools gold on Michigan D linemen and lost. Taco charlton still leaves a bad taste in my mouth when TJ watt was taken right after him. Ugh.
-
I didn’t say they deserved a playoff spot but I think they are one of the top 3 teams. They weren’t ready to play Michigan. That’s for sure but they were dominating teams all year. They lost game 1 to Oregon but OSU has been a notoriously bad team out of the gate in the past decade. They have some really bad wins in the opening weeks.
-
Georgia was completely dominant all year long. Their defense allowed 6.9 pts per game. They allowed 7 TDs in 12 games. They finished 12-1. Bama went 9-1 vs FPI top 40 teams. Bama played 10 top 40 FPI teams this year which is nuts. Georgia went 4-1 vs top 40 FPI in the easier East but they dominated all comers. Cincinnati deserves the playoff spot but they didn’t play the way Georgia did all year and Houston wasn’t even an FPI top 40 team. Cincy was 1-0 vs top 40 FPI teams. Cincy can prove they belong by playing Bama close. luckily a 12 team playoff will be coming soon. I still think Ohio state is a top 3 team this year and I despise OSU. This year they dominated after the slow start and the snow game in Michigan. In a 12 team playoff they would have a good shot at winning it all.

Losing Metchie with a torn ACL only means you have 1 1st rounder receiver to cover. But you have to get pressure on Bryce.
-
it’s definitely exciting that a non power 5 made it in. I think Michigan Georgia will be a good game. Neither Georgia or Michigan have big offenses so it will be a defensive battle.
-
You guys will get to play Bama game 1. Ouchies. Bryce young is a generational QB with maybe the fastest release of any QB on earth literally. It’s probably a 50% shot of another SEC final. Michigan Georgia May be a game but if cincy keeps it within 14 that will be a win for them. Bama running that hurryup with the number 1 draft pick in 2023 at QB gives them so many chances. That auburn game where they refused to block was a wake up call. I’d Metchie has a serious injury it may be a bit closer but 2 1st round receivers and the number 1 overall lock in 2 years is going to be hard to stop. edit: unless Michigan loses then you will likely play Georgia game 1. Bama has the 1 seed. Michigan and Georgia will be the 2/3 in whatever order and cincy the 4. Cincy will prob take the 3 if Michigan loses which is doubtful vs the worst power 5 offense in Iowa

It’s funny that Riley ran away from the SEC and Kelly ran to it. Sorta crazy to bolt before a potential playoff appearance. Riley is like now that Oklahoma is in the SEC I’m looking at 3 loss seasons being the norm so let’s go to the last cupcake conference left, but Kelly thinks he can recruit the 5 star guys at LSU he couldn’t get at notre dame. Interesting divergent paths.
-
Well the last big game between them was that national championship OT game thriller so bet this will be a good one
-
I’ll guess 27 points. The bigger question is can Georgia score against Bama. Bama has 1st round offensive skill position guys and prob the 1st QB in the 2023 draft. Georgia doesn’t.

These recordings almost sound like a matrix. The quality is outstanding. I didn’t see any mics set up. Where was he recording?
-
you think concerts will ever be the same? I don’t think many will ever be over this. We’ve had 2 years of shit pounded into our collective heads and the country needs therapy. We will continue to do all the shows we can but many are still too scared and may never attend an indoor show again. My parents skipped the stones for covid fears and know my dad wouldn’t see an indoor show at this point and the stones was even outdoor. If Dso plays here again in 2-3 years, we’d definitely make the trip. It’s really nice having food hotel and venue all right next to each other. It’s an easy weekend setup and not many places are set up like this. The only thing that sucked were the bars mostly closed at midnight or 12:30 in the battery when most of those would have been 2am in 2019. And the bars were all huge pre baseball game type monstrosities. There were no dark quaint bars to have a drink post show right there.
-
thats 1 game. They have been a top 2 offense all year and have the best QB in football.
-
Alabama’s best offense is probably equal to Georgia’s best defense. The question is can Georgia score against Bama bevause Bama will put up points

If Bama beats Georgia, we will see that game again in the finals. If Bama wins its 1. Bama 2. Georgia 3. Cincy 4 Michigan if Georgia wins you can’t include Bama b/c they can’t play Georgia again as it makes the sec championship irrelevant. No one wants to see Bama at 4 and Georgia at 1 having to play each other again.
-
True that likely Bama won’t get in but they are only 6.5 point dogs. The game is on turf in a dome on a neutral field. Well it’s actually not very neutral as Bama dominates in the Georgia dome. Who would be the 4th team in if Bama loses? It’s either Bama or Ohio state. Unfortunately we won’t get to see Bama vs Ohio state. Wanted to see that one. Cincy should be rhe 4 no matter who’s in as they are by far the easiest team who can be in the playoffs and Georgia deserves getting them.

It’s hard to really feel that early 70’s hard jamming psychsdelia when at the house mostly because the quality of the boards won’t let you get all of the intricacies of the original. Hearing this on that amazing PA system in all its glory is hard to describe. I thought their compositions were all so original. The style was unique, the transitions were improv genius and they really stretched a lot of songs to their limit. 16 minute other one, 18 minute lovelight, 9 minute GDTRFB. They didn’t skimp on the jams. It was superb. Pig shined in this original. Got home a few hours ago and feel rejuvenated. There were these folding chairs zip tied taking up half the space in front of the board so we pushed several rows forward and several rows backwards and had this protected area that was around 25’x10’ for meili and I and a person here and there that wanted a lot of get down space. Slowly over 30 minutes I moved those rows of chairs as people would get up until we had this amazing area 20’ in front of the board where we could get wild and no one could interrupt. It was awesome. It was like some roped off vip area with just us using 200 sq feet of dance space. I wish the band would have sold more tickets but it was great for fans. Georgia @ Georgia tech was played that afternoon in Atlanta which definitely didn’t help. Met a group of 6 young guys who did the game then the show, but that definitely hurt attendance. I also think the area isn’t great for attendance. It’s sort of touristy with expensive parking on the outskirts of town near Marietta. It was great for a travel weekend as we had food and drink and venue all within a couple blocks. Hung around the Braves stadium Saturday afternoon after lunch. It’s definitely a solid spot for anyone who flew or drove in from out of town but could see how it may not be an ideal location for locals, but there are thousands of parking garage spots within 200 feet of the venue so it’s super easy to get in and out of considering they have parking to hold the 40k baseball fans who come to the games literally 20 feet away. Another great Dso weekend is in the books. We are very grateful to the band and to our friends who came. :))

The cucamonga sandwich with king bee gave us a hint of what we were in for. The cryptical>lovelight was one insane song. The construction of the jam segments was so unique. Every song in set 2 had a complete deconstruction of the song. You could play just a jam segment of any song in set 2 and no one is guessing what song you are in. Very dark hard psychedelic Jazz. Every song left the structure of the song and went into a fantastic jam segment. It was nuts. The lovelight to finish was psychadelic butter. That hour long nonstop segment was a pure improv masterpiece. Wow. They came at us hard tonight. There was no space in the cryptical, just drums. Been a while since I’ve seen an original not have a space segment. I guess it’s why koritz had a quick pee before cryptical lol. This was a ridiculous show. The song construction was very different or weird even. They created alternate jazz melodies for songs. It was a barrage of I’m in a mood to see how far we can take intersong jams. I’m like well they left GDTRFB. They left every other song, then well lovelight will be more straightforward. Nope. 4 minute crazy jazz jam segment and when they return to the song it’s done completely different than you will ever hear. It was like they were playing it in a different key or something. Trust me it was mind blowing hour segment in set 2. oh and Jeff busted out a new guitar, peanut. It’s like a replica of a guitar Jerry played in 71 maybe? That must have been the inspiration for this 2 drummer early 70s show.

Watching the Hyryder Indy stream right now and the trap is packed. I’m getting a flu shot before New Years indy. Those dirty hippies get me sick every winter. Not sure how I’d chase the rug rat from 8-5 every day if I got sick. He’s currently fascinated with the green power button on the amp and it gets turned off 20x a day. Don’t get me started on how he does 3 mouse clicks and it says are you sure you want to delete everything on this computer. I turn my back and my phone is locked for 60 secs. He chewed up a cigarette from a pack that got in his reach and he was grossed out and spit it out and 20 minutes later he’s trying to grab another. Then there’s leaves that get tracked in. No those aren’t snacks. How many are you chewing on? Oh Atlanta. I got to get back to you.

Staying at the aLoft right by the baseball stadium and planned to explore the Battery this weekend but wtf it’s going to be colder than Chicago this weekend. Below freezing in Atlanta on thanksgiving weekend????? Huh. I guess at least it’s not Charlotte in the 20s. Wtf.

it shows negatibe test required for kids under 12 she does crush it. I was shocked she had a solid groove already. You don’t see 3yr olds that keep a beat with style.
-
it’s all ages. Bring your kids bro. See you Friday your wife will enjoy a stress free weekend relaxing without kids and hubby around

Holy shit. Have shows this weekend!!! Gonna be a crazy hectic few days. Multiple thanksgivings in multiple cities then driving an hour away from our destination North early Friday morning to drop the baby at the grandparents then heading south making it almost an 8 hour drive and losing an hour wiyh the time change. The older you get the tougher it is to do a long drive then a show. Even 5 years ago I had no issue popping an 8 hour drive to Cleveland then doing a show. But then I used to do a lot of shows and my cardio stayed up there. Then freaking covid killed my exercise regiment. I mean who wants to exercise without a big PA in front of you. That’s for the birds. See ya Friday oh and this venue looks epic. It’s like a slightly smaller Anthem. Excited to dance on nice wooden flat floors.
