I was out there, solo, for those philly shows and the next day one of the local radio stations mentioned that they played a Dark Star the night before after a long sabbatical. Unlike any Cincinnati radio stations, the local Philly station played a bootleg Dark Star on the air to commend the Dead for playing it. That philly fall three were the last of my touring with them. 1994 was all Emmylou and the Nash Ramblers from Nashville to Greenville to Boone to the final Ramble on 2/15/95. I had gotten a safe distance from the band when that fatal news was announced in August.

I think they took the higher route going on the Playboy show. The Grateful Dead seemed to be connected with who they wanted, there was a scene around them. Ed Sullivan also had his scene illustrated by trying to impose a change of lyrics for Morrison. Just my thoughts on what you started. No steppenewolf, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd either, Jefferson Airplane might have had Kanter and Balin pushing them on

I had and so did Anna and a bunch of people in my treatment groups. It's really bad and lasted forever until I took arthro miacin antibiotic to finally get rid of it. She didn't take it and it lasted 3 more weeks for her. Sorry it hit you when you were ready for shows. It does feel like death, but recovery is possible. May you feel better soon

Packed to the gills with a long line outside well into the first set. The only space was up at the stage in the front otherwise shoulder to shoulder. I stayed up there the whole night only sipping from my wine sac throughout so not having to squeeze through to the restroom until leaving during the encore. Blair was back after his surgery and they had him ribcage rattling loud, every song was bass dominant esp HSF and Eyes. That DS>WR has been a favorite ever since seeing the 12/31/78 version and the Doodle is straight Santa Fe 83

This past summer, in the deerCreek Phish shakedown, Vintage Dead venders out of Santa Fe, I was told in confidence, they signed a three year commitment. Maybe they want to perform there as the technicians figure out how to use more of it's capabilities.

That's gotta be one of the best 1976 shows... I mean High Time followed by Saint Stephen then a Sugar Magnolia with a Stella Blue before finishing off the SSDD, Wowser!! Kudos for filling with Tore Up; Woodstock; Ripple Extremely well crafted and I am CERTAIN that the band and crew took it to that next level! Living up to the hype A few years back they seemed to play ( at least to my limited comprehension) the same 76er; however, nothing like this, first time recreating July 13th 1976? Not a Friday the 13th like they did at the Greek this summer, but nonetheless a strong 2nd show of the 6 nights at SF. You folks got a monster. Goes to show that putting 1+1 together pays off once the lights go down and the amps crank up. If I wasn't in training for a new job and hadn't missed too many days already, damn I hope this job pays off and is worth it, right now it's doesn't look that way. Happy as hell for those made it!!!

Somehow he always managed to play Sam Stone at every show as daunting as it is, he would find his way there before the show ended. His last show at the Taft theater had a merch line that snaked through the hallway about 100+ patrons long.

Most everyone I met was from out of town, sitting next to a couple that flew in from Manhattan today flying back tomorrow. 7:30 - 10:10 (20 min set break) Normal GD tempo. What a long strange trip it's been...

If anybody is unsure if the road doesn't keep a person healthy watch a 77 yr old Emmylou deliver her set at HSBG from October of this year. Just watched it again and she's all there like she's been since 1975 with relentless schedules throughout the years.

Yeah and I can't help thinking of all the times I saw Hunter beg Box as my favorite versions. It's cool that all these courageous dead bands rip St Stephen, esp DSO at Frontier Field and Annie's as a part of an all inclusive elective and a then during a 60's show at the Boulder Theater and they also treated us with the 83 recreation at the Taft the same night MC and Rude Dog skated off to the after show at Stanley's pub with Hyryder. And we get Cucamongas. Guess it wasn't in the dead's wheel house which would have been much better than Wave to the Wind. What a HUGE contribution to the world Mr. Lesh provided with the place in cali and touring all the time! Greg he did the same "So glad you made it" to open the Metrodome one 21 song set in 86 after the Greeks.❤️
