The Summit shows in Columbus this past weekend didn't have maybe 50-60 people, very loose and easy dance space up close. The upcoming Ann Arbor 45th Folk Festival is requiring all attendees to wear a mask at all times during the festival. It is indoors. I was checking it out since Emmylou is going to be there on Saturday night. Not gonna go, will wait until her Nashville, Indiana performance February 2, 2022 because that is just her for the whole night, not a "line up" of performers. I need ELH straight with no chasers and they are not requiring masks. While everyone is in Atlanta this weekend, we'll be covering the 'ryde in Columbus Fri and Sat.

Riverfront Live has stopped their covid vac requirement. I like to think that's a step in the right direction. I definitely would not go to a show that requires me to wear a mask. My workplace just made masks optional. Guess what... I'm teaching class tonight without the sweat and turmoil of trying to deliver through a mask. I'll still take temps as people enter because my wife just got over a nasty, high temp flu sickness that wasn't covid, but she had high temps and ached for a week.

I pulled the trigger on Billy Strings 3 night new years run. We did it in 2018 and was a lot fun. Since tickets are so hard to get for him, had to commit like right when they went on sale. Gotta admit these are the most Ive paid for his shows. It aint 2015 anymore.

I say get down to Atlanta>Florida because...nothings for certain, it could always go... Sorry to say we'll be in Columbus Thanksgiving hyryding. Ive been going through 88 this week on the gulf, no deadbase, and was rolling through my head "when was the Shakedown" as I had done Minnesota through Rochester. Now I know it was at The Greek, thanks Bill. As far as Littlefeat goes, theyve been playing for years. This Waiting for Columbus is a sales gimmick. Period.

Weird too because didn't the other two open the shows with Wang Dang Doodle? Hartford always seemed to get dosed good.

Youre right theres more to it than the ticket cost, ridiculous to even bring up. I dont know if its open floor or rows of built in seats. The open space in Sept is hard to beat. Spoiled and trying to prepare for a rainy day. I think 6/24/85 was my white whale

$17.50 in fees per ticket is too much, $35.00 per day X Fri and Sat = $70.00 in fees, what? (best left unsaid, sorry for my demise). I was initially concerned when there was no mention of costs ahead of time so I looked at other shows and figured it was going to be a $30.00+ ticket with fees. The ticket fee stopped a purchase from me. I'm getting spoiled around here with Eventbrite and Cincy tickets charging only $2.50 and $4.00 ticket fees. I know this has nothing to dew with the band.
