  1. Hey you didn't block me out in the beer line behind you all 😠 Birthday week for Chuck!
  2. That 6/30/84 has a raggy audience video with sbd (voodoonola) on YouTube. It's nice to see the outdoor facility. I've enjoyed that taped for years thinking it was an indoor show 🤔 As for the 85 Spectrum shows, that was the end of the tour but they laid out some gems in that three night run, esp 4/8/85. Happy GD birthday FB, won't see you at Buckeye but maybe down the road sometime.
  3. https://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1984/04/06?source=200789 My 3rd show and the first time driving 12 hrs to get there
  4. Hardpan seems to taking care of east coast shows. Maybe John A. Would know of a Warfield tapers? May it happen for you.
  5. Interesting that they played Richmond right before Richmond. This has always been my go to morning dew, echos rippling out of a typically astounding 85 space.
  6. The space had a spanish jam approach then went industrial before quieting up for the first notes of DMF. It's refreshing when Help Slip goes into Franklins and a stand alone Fantasy, not to mention the power of Days Between
  7. Thanks for coming to town and tripping us out Last song in Cincy was the first song tonight
  8. Respectful and kind of the band to spread the shows for those outside USA. I'm sure this will sellout immediately as there are lots of Deadheads that contribute to archives and sugarmegs from Europe. I sent a few JGB 1987 Stone master tapes to a Sir Mick for him to transfer to digital and upload. the US gets it share of shows. Looking forward to tonight's event at Ovation (although the new place in Cincy, James Brady ICON music center is a terrible venue), makes me leery of new venues. James Brady ICON music center is set up for the promoters and the bands and how to extract as much $$ out of the goers. We'll see what Newport has to offer with it's new venue 🤞. Hoping to get a ticket at the door tonight🤞
  9. Maybe this starts a new tradition that will lead to Amsterdam '81? Or the pyramids 78?
  10. You're probably right. Last time I was there was in 87 and it was just another stop on the road of seeing shows, Telluride, Tempe and Park West lay ahead. I'm sure they've decked it out now and like you pointed out where are the other major musts? Ledges?
  11. IMHO RR is overrated, where at the Frost you have grass tiers while at RR it's just rock. it was nice to kick off the shoes on a beautiful May day in Palo Alto and dance on grass. Of course, you would have to be in line early to get the front tiers and interactions with the band, The tiers are also only about 10 inches up each one where as at RR the tiers are like 2 feet up each level. I wouldn't sweat missing RR. I've been wondering and searching as to when Stanford University was going to start using the amphitheater again and it looks like Bobby and Mickey are finally getting through. I think it would be the best place for DSO to play, nice and small yet has an upper grass level to sell some tickets to make it worth the bands visit. And, yes, it would be best with a 2pm show time.
  12. "Saw Bobby last night in Nashville Indiana in a venue the size of a high school orchestra hall. Was pretty awesome. He was chatty and engaging, was a real good energy all night." You definitely got in a good show.. I knew he was coming there as that's where we're seeing Emmylou, but I forgot it was this weekend. There is a Columbus show coming up on Wed. but it won't be as intimate as the Brown County Music center. Also, big news, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart are playing The Frost Amphitheater on Sunday May 1st! So glad they're opening up shows again at that supreme venue, kudos to Weir! Glad you got in a good show Duck
  13. How about this camera shot? The happy space for a camera operator
  14. I'm so excited. We are closing on a loan this week for a tank of gas!
  15. BMFS Fri and sat both nights opening with a Tony Rice tune: Freeborn Man (1st) Cold On The Shoulder (2nd). Continues to take the experience to another level. Last night they experimented with moving the sound around the room, the musicians took advantage of the trippy surround sound. Sbd guy, Andy, said this is new territory with moving sounds from back of the room to the front, then side to side, then circular. Tinfoil and Turmoil to close out 2nd set last night.
  16. Just as I thought I could step away from BMFS he announces a six night run Dayton, Louisville X3, indy X2 and joins Bob Weir at Sweetwater playing ChinaRyder
  17. The 1/31/22 Chicago Emmylou show setlist is up on setlistfm site. Created a Making Believe 3rd song in and a rare presentation of The Band's version of Evangeline, white whale material, she's going into the whole catalog. Now's the time to get a show in. Thinking of the upcoming Disneyland show, driving, gotta use of lose hrs, stop in vegas to refuel, then Santa Monica. Get that full road effect🙂
  18. Thats an incredible setlist. Hope you all jammed out. Looks like a list a real dead band could play without lyric monitors. All songs staples. Ive seen some new dead covers who had to read the lyrics to Eyes, big turn off, those are words we live by and truthful singer would know them or not play it. JK taught me at a Boulder show that a person can learn Days Between and so I did. Delivery is much more meaningful when the lyrics are memorized the way the songwriter wrote. Either memorize the script or get off the stage. DSO knows the script so then deliver new experiences each time played. BCE knows their lyrics also. Speaking of Born Coss Eyed, Anyone got the setlist from Zanzabar this past Sat? Lagr hook us up, you got the connect
  19. Funny that billy strings is tweeting for everyone to join in the fun of his current tour. His shows used to be 10-15 dollars at up close small bars. Now he's playing arenas and asking for $75. I dont see the "fun" of stringing a tour together at $75 each stop and being in an arena. I'll be at the cincy shows but that's probably my last. At the end of Jerry's life, Warfield and Wiltern shows had my interest and he never charged $75 a ticket. Kudos for Dark Star Orchestra in trying to keep shows under $50 after "fees" are figured in. The upcoming Newport show comes in around $43, I'll be showing up there about 8:20 as I facilitate a depression support group Thursday nights until 8 in NKY. Helping others then helping myself. Ramblin where ramblin can be done
  20. Every song looks choice, building and moving in different directions but keeping sites on the Weight. Looks like a REAL GOOD TIME, thx for taking us there Dharmada, keep on keeping on like you dew⚡🎶📰
  21. or didnt see Emmylou was here in Brown County Indiana but the show was postponed due to threatening ice. Looks like either April or July with her current schedule. Setlist from Thursday in Chicago would be nice? I'll get ya back
