  1. I've heard several times, maybe also in some 87 shows?
  2. Maybe your next calling, if you didn't meet a contact at the show, make it happen NYM
  3. Brought it back second song in to 11/13/24 and capped the pair with the beginning of a two set Dark Star sandwiched in a Playin UJB show closer
  4. Announcement of the dead playing same venue 39 yrs ago in October Cincinnati Symphony opened Jack Straw Lost Sailor> Saint Dark Star v1> Truckin Shakedown Street Playing in the Band> Uncle John's Band> Other One> Days Between> Dark Star v2> Playing Reprise> Uncle John's Bobby looked well and paid ascute attention to the conductor throughout. Most everyone I met was from out of town, sitting next to a couple that flew in from Manhattan today flying back tomorrow. 7:30 - 10:10 (20 min set break) Normal GD tempo. What a long strange trip it's been...
  5. If anybody is unsure if the road doesn't keep a person healthy watch a 77 yr old Emmylou deliver her set at HSBG from October of this year. Just watched it again and she's all there like she's been since 1975 with relentless schedules throughout the years.
  6. Yeah and I can't help thinking of all the times I saw Hunter beg Box as my favorite versions. It's cool that all these courageous dead bands rip St Stephen, esp DSO at Frontier Field and Annie's as a part of an all inclusive elective and a then during a 60's show at the Boulder Theater and they also treated us with the 83 recreation at the Taft the same night MC and Rude Dog skated off to the after show at Stanley's pub with Hyryder. And we get Cucamongas. Guess it wasn't in the dead's wheel house which would have been much better than Wave to the Wind. What a HUGE contribution to the world Mr. Lesh provided with the place in cali and touring all the time! Greg he did the same "So glad you made it" to open the Metrodome one 21 song set in 86 after the Greeks.❀️
  7. The greatness of the Grateful Dead is how each instrument is distinct. I'm heading towards that Rochester 77 bass Eyes opener now. Had a good talk with Too Much Fun between BCE sets learning that he was on tour for Spring 78, lucky duck! after that Rochester specifically mentioning 5/11/78. I need to explore 78 more and am looking for highlights you all know of since the shows back then were most of the same songs night after night. Now I've got one to get into that year. 12/31/78 has always been my go to. Thank you TMF, May the four winds blow you safely home Going to my first Goose shows this weekend, completely blind have not listened to them or watched any YouTube. I was told by a good friend to not miss a hometown show back in October 2020 when he graciously let me have the FG fourth seat at our covid restricted policy of you got to buy a full table. Man did that change my life, probably near 50-60 Hyryders since. Very fortunate to be 2 hrs from Indy, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville. They've kinda stopped Cincy so I'll be heading to Headliners Fri after work. Last time there was for BMFS in 2018 People have been telling me for years " you got to go see Goose" I've held off stating "I'm not taking any new applications"
  8. Born Cross Eyed 11/2/24 Louisville #1 ended with: Pride of Cucamonga> Let It Grow #2 Box of Rain Terrapin Unbroken Chain Like A Road> Throwin> Women R Dear Mr Fantasy> Morning Dew US Blues! Missed the beginning but reported: #1 Hell>Tom Thumbs Minglewood Werewolves ? Compelling performance geared with the bass loudest in the mix. The Whirling Tiger is an incredible dance space and stage set up
  9. 10/26/24 could possibly be the 12/31/78 of our era. My long time taping friend streamed this as his first listen. He couldn't believe what happened, exclaiming Wow! 100% sold. They are not a cover band. This friend of mine was the one who called me back in 1998 while he was at the Dark Star Orchestra Bogarts show telling me to get down there, which I did in time for the end of the first set. Almost got him to Jubilee last year and am petitioning him to get here for the 2025 experiment. Being in Monument Colorado he does the annual WSP RR event. Hopefully Jubilee is his next move
  10. Leaning towards GA in the bowl for Jubilee. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be getting everything from the parking lot to camp, esp with Duck's command. Already got 3 Emmylou celebrating the music of Guy Clark purchased for 4/3, 4/4 and final at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee on Sat April 5th splurging to stay at the hotel the theater is housed in with a corner room that has a sitting area to view the city. It will be Anna's and I first time in Milwaukee and I've heard it's quite the town to live it up in.
  11. So important in the development of my favorite era. Was never the same when he passed. There was a really great interview with Jerry in rolling Stone that summer where he really opened up like never before. Interest began to wane, the beginning of my appreciation of Emmylou and the Nashville Ramblers. Off the top of my head I think of the Long Beach 81 Shakedown how he and Jerry riled off each other and the Blow Away from 4/8/89
  12. 10/18/24 Huntsville, AL #1 Hide and seek ? ? Georgia Mail Heartbeat of America Rock of Ages Dust in the Baggie. #2 Lead Foot ? 13. After recently driving through and all around Asheville, I can't even imagine what everyone is going through. Those mountain roads are tenuous to say the least, rebuilding is going to be extremely difficult and may take years which the media will not show. I was just in Iowa City and they are still recovering from the floods that devastated that area like 10 years ago. Keep us updated. Love you all and want all the attention you can get so the resources get there. People think it's done when there's no media on it. Iowa City was under water years after but I didn't know that until I saw a PBS special on it. Calling all cars there's a real tragedy going on here.
  14. Brought the diving head first into the next base. We got a statue in front of the ballpark of him hovering head first, a few inches off the ground heading a base. I grew up going the big red machine in the early 70' and I can tell you everyone here loved him along with Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez and Dave Conception. Sorry he's gone, he'd been trying to make peace the last 10 years and always had something positive about baseball and winning. Damn shame the number one hitter didn't make the hall of fame. It would have meant the world to him and all us in Cincinnati. RIP, he's running the bases of pure gold. I have a world series game program, $1.00 where my dad penciled in each stat.in the nine inning game bracket for every up bat. He did me right taking me to all those games. Anybody else want to chime in a Cincinnati icon?

  20. Rescue Me ~ Great work by Denis Leary that does justice to the NYFD in remembrance of the victims of 9/11. Fortunately DL did his stand up act in Cincy leading up to his HBO special "No Cure for Cancer" gig in NYC. We sneaked in a VHS recorder and captured this show at Sycamore Gardens. It's a little more off colour than the polished HBO version of the gig. Mr. Leary, unfortunately, doesn't do stand up anymore. This was back in the 90's right after the movie Judgement Night. Love me some Leary πŸ‡±πŸ‡·
  21. Emmylou Harris tomorrow night at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke πŸ›žπŸŽΆπŸ‡±πŸ‡·

He was laughing and having lots of fun with everybody, so good to see him doing well.
