Right on Tea and thanks!
Actually, Sunday and Monday were dry and sunny...so nice. Although we've gotten another inch and a half of rain since then,,and another 1.5 inches coming at us before show time tomorrow....been pretty steady non stop for last 36 hours...
So YES! Ready to soak up every drop of sunshine DSO kicks out!! ð
Counting the hours now....
Been incredible amounts of rain lately out in NW...January set records for the month in towns throughout Western WA. In recent days there's been standing water in places I've never seen it before. Had 7.6" in my rain gauge for the month...
Olympia had around 18" for January...jeez
Point is,,it's been rather wet and dreary and getting out for some MUSIC and DANCE and vitamin DSO is sounding DAMN good about now...ready for the band to bring in the sunshine later this week ðĪŠ!
DSO opened the west coast tour in Seattle last year with the Tacoma dome show and brought new life and beauty to it âïļ
Your birthday Autzten show with Jimmy Cliff and Robert Cray was my first GD show....didn't sleep a wink that night...my innocent little 16 yr old mind was blown for good....!
Noting that the 2/10 Bend, OR (Acoustic) show is sold out.
That seems odd for a small town Monday night winter show. A friend tried to buy Tix back in early December and it was already saying sold out then...
Maybe more Tix will pop up for sale at some point....
Thanks for that thoughtful analysis Hardpan.
I try and rewatch the movie once every year or two and I always get something new out of it every time...
I still think it would be well worth if somehow a similarly approached documentary could be created trying to capture and convey the DSO experience. It's such a unique thing...
Quality footage on perspectives from both sides of the rail...all of the thought, intention, attention and care brought to this scene by those involved...
