  3. Perhaps yet another Sat night…no commit yet. Am committed to do Port Chester.

    Cincy night 2

Was at original…one of my fav GD shows DSO did it justice. All kinds of dance space with many in crowd knowing the show after TLEO. Didnt matter…the boys rocked it…Skip is feeling it! Proximity to Dead & Co show made for rather sparse crowd compared to previous appearances. Good chance Hyryder will out draw them Halloween weekend.
  6. Sounds more traditionally like metaphysics than quantum but indeed that may be just semantics
  7. Doors at 6 show at 7 according to tix website
  8. Wow…sorry I missed this…chalk it up to you can’t make em all. I could feel the ecstatic energy with these posts. Talk about turning the page…Nick was the merch bitch when I bought my first DSO cap. Will miss seeing him. Ellie too.

    Asheville #2

Another great weekend in Asheville. The venue had its own charms like a fast flowing rain swollen river as right boundary. After a little too much too fast night 1, and dancing hard and loose on the rocks on the rail, I chose to enjoy festivities on night two more in the back. Sound was good, and I found a little spot, where the band and the river could rock my soul. Also many passed by I knew, and didn’t, to eat drink and be merry. Seeing all the folks I know is always the highlight. Most times they dance hard stage left. For personal reasons GDTRFB was a welcomed tune. Interesting seeing DSO once a month on a Fri and Sat…Caverns, Chicago, Legend Valley, Louisville, Asheville, and next Cincinnati. Keep it up!

Governer’s Island NY was storm-shortened 7/11/09 Quite a storm with a ferry needed to get back to mainland. Thought we would capsize in the revelry Remember the band quickly ended show after drums with We bid u goodnight. Keller was also there.
  11. Heat beer index was off the charts…friend cited above passed out mid sentence in grass lot. Woke up 1 minute later with no effects or affects. Another show…another story.
  12. Took my buddy to this…his first dead show. 14 years later he talked me into seeing a band called Dark Star Orchestra…“they play entire dead shows!”

Seeing JT was the highlight…solid first show for a 5 month old. Could tell he enjoyed the scene…Apple doesn’t fall far… It really did feel like a normal show except for cars in the way. Space was in front or behind parked cars as in between could only fit single file. Very little security hassles in line with good time crowd.
  15. Lost in Rochester NY in 1977 looking for War Memorial…when I asked gas station attendant where it was, he replied…” you mean where that sing along dance band is playing?”
  16. Due to unforeseen circumstances find myself with spots in my vehicle…first three rows center…both nights…any interested parties?
  17. Was 2 pods to the right of front middle with more space than that happy pod. Thanks to Dave...a guy I met at RR first year DSO played. Announced at some point as Skips birthday. Opening bombs of GSET "whether we liked it or not!" Stage left along with Eaton, they were having a blast. Been awhile since I have seen Rob doing Weir gyrations in front of stage so much. Elective bliss with Dylan overtones in honor of his 80th. Even stumbled into MC and his women exiting.
  18. DSO Louisville tix slightly more than B Strings and way less than Styx. Set ups differ slightly as well. 2 sections GA pods for DSO 4 for Styx.
  19. Nothing personal. I agree band insisted. So they are either not all vaccinated, or are and have vax efficacy hesitancy, or they don’t believe in the science or they can care less of the vast majority outside pit. Willing to listen to alternative reasoning. Weir being ass....is reasonable but does not eliminate options above. They may be asinine enough to think a significant number of individuals are going to vax so they can be in pit for dead and co. Good grief.
