Much as I hate to say it, I'm leaning toward the Eagles and their overwhelming O and D lines

So Bertha > Greatest is the longest runner for show opener combo? Gotta imagine it took off a couple years here and there..

1990-12-09 @ Compton Terrace, Chandler, AZ Set 1: Hell In A Bucket > Bertha ; Little Red Rooster ; Jack-a-Roe ; Maggie's Farm ; Black Throated Wind ; Bird Song ; The Valley Road Set 2: Samson And Delilah ; Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Truckin' > Spoonful > He's Gone > drums > space > The Wheel > Playing In The Band reprise > Going Down The Road Feeling Bad > Good Lovin' Encore: Brokedown Palace Filler: Oh! Darling I was at the original and thought it absolutely smoked! It was live confirmation that the band could move on (artistically) after Brent's passing. The Bird Song was bonkertown and I got an excellent Scarlet > Fire that had eluded me earlier in the fall. Really great times! It was quite a journey to go from a mild desert climate into the deep-freeze in Denver right after! It's no wonder I limped home before Christmas with pneumonia......

I like that choice but I feel like Promised Land got shelved as an opener around 78/79. No deadbase to confirm tho.....
-
Amen to that. I was racking my brain to see if there was a show-opening 2-song combination that had a longer running tenure than Bertha > Greatest Story. I'm thinking next longest would be Help > Slip which would might be 75-95 despite the 85-89 hiatus. Deadbase anyone ?

Ring. That. Bell. 🛎️ Gonna be sweet - have a great time !

Niners at Eagles will be a rock fight - children should avert their eyes since every play will be like a car crash. I give Philly the edge but it ain't a big one - even with Brock Purdy at QB for SF. Philly by 4. Bengals at Chiefs should be a good one too. Mahomes should be a bit less mobile - a high-ankle sprain is usually a 3-4 week injury so even with a ton of rest and treatment, it's hard to see him at something more than 80%, best case. Joe Burrow is right there as one of the best 2 or 3 QB's in the NFL. If the strung-together O-Line can keep him clean (maybe a big IF), I think the Bengals will win by double-digits. I'm rooting for Mahomes to get that 2nd ring but also rooting for Burrow to cash it in and make the case that he's the best QB in the NFL and reward a city starving for a winner. Bengals by 6.

First concert was Aerosmith 1982 - 11 years young. Shows I saw before my first dead show (4/11/88): Peter Gabriel Pink Floyd Genesis (Phil Collins led) The Cure Madonna Judas Priest U2 Pink Floyd led to my Grateful Dead curiosity. My older brother was my ‘babysitter’ while my parents were away and made me go with him to a Dead show. He also ditched me right away so I was left to my own devices…..Now look at me 😂

Why do walruses love a tupperware party? They’re always on the lookout for a tight seal.

It must be tweener-distance for those guys. I liken it to pro golfers that can't hit a 60-yard wedge where they need to Those are my Divisional picks too...
