  2. I got no inside intel on what they are planning on doing. Missed 2 69 shows and an elective containing a Low Spark + a Visions of Johanna - so yes.
  3. For those heading to NC this weekend, be safe, have an absolute blast, and take a twirl or 2 for me! Gutted to miss the music and hugging my tribe - those 2 things together are one of my favorite 1-2 punches in life. My wife and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary (25 years together) this weekend! Me missing NC DSO shows is a good amazing omen for everyone else - trust me on this one!
  4. View from Chapel Hill, NC on Friday Night

That’s the gold standard Dew with a couple others nipping at their heels. Also the gold standard Dancin in the streets (post 1970 anyway).
  6. I (or you Tom Banjo) Just need to find what the break even cost is - then I’d know if the juice is worth the squeeze. I’d likely lose my shirt in year 1
  7. An employee (late 20's - I didn't hire them) recently copied me on an email to a commercial client. I read the opening run-on sentence and immediately tried to recall the message, but no dice. Imagine a blog post with phonetical spelling and with more emoji's than punctuation. Should 'damage-control' be hyphenated or not?
  8. According to Spotify: Spotify pays artists between $0.003 - $0.005 per stream on average. That works out as an approx revenue split of 70/30 - so that's 70% to the artist/rights holders and 30% to Spotify. I guess not much of a financial incentive for DSO to be on Spotify. I do miss the more frequent Nugs uploads (there are 8 shows from summer 2023) but something is better than nothing. I frankly would be more interested in more LiveStream availability and would be willing to pay for the privilege. I realize something like this has some behind the scene efforts, logistics, and front-end costs. I also realize another solution would be: "Dood - go see some live DSO shows for God's sake!" Point Taken. My lack of live attendance in the last few years is certainly not derived from a lack of desire.
  9. 8/16/91 - Replete with a 1st set Dark Star. Food for thought
  10. Jubilee Daily Lineups are out:

  12. I’ll have what VjiupsLer is having
  13. I met a girl online, and arranged a blind date with her at the gym. She never showed up, and that’s when I knew… … we weren’t going to work out.
  14. This is for you Chuck Whelp! Here it is... In anticipation of Cornmeal's upcoming 25th Anniversary, the band will reunite on stage with our former and long time band member, the venerable Allie Kral, for the first time in over 12 years, exclusively at Shoe Fest 2024! This had been a long time in the making and we think the time is right and the band couldn't be more honored to have her back for this very special show. Grab your tickets today https://shoe-fest.com/all-tickets 💚🌽

  17. Email from the event organizer: "Hello everyone, We are reaching to inform you on an update for this show Sundays event. We normally do not allow ins and outs for our events. However, since this is an all-day show as well as the fact that there will be over 30 vendors on main street right around the corner that were going to be vending at the event that was cancelled, ins and outs will be allowed until 6 pm. Once it is 6 pm there will be no more ins and outs. Also, just a reminder some of the rules we have at all our events. 1- While you are allowed to bring 1 small and sealed bottle of water.
