The part of TN where the caverns are located (30 miles or so west of Chattanooga) is just gorgeous. The outdoor amphitheater was super nice with lush grass in the fields. Entry and exits were a breeze, no lines, no waiting. Nobody complied with the stupid “entry times” with back areas supposed to arrive at 5pm, lol. We were just starting to eat dinner at 5pm, then pregame til 6:30, then drive straight in, band on stage at 7:03. Sweet. We ended up in a cool little cabin rental with a nice backyard and fire pit. Made for some fun pre and post show gatherings. They had security assigned to sections, and as our luck would have it, we had a “thank god I finally got some authority” douchebag. Our POD was too fucking small for 6 people to be dancing in, and he wanted us inside the ribbon. So we “accidentally” broke our ribbon, haha. I swear, to me all the PODs seemed to be the same size. If all 6 of us stayed inside the ribbon and danced conservatively we would be longing for the wide open spaces of say, the Orange Peel in Asheville, 😂😂. Concession service was excellent and most all the staff were super nice. The 90s are not my fav set list era, but this show is an exception. The first set was a rockin good time with a noteworthy Loser wrapped by some great dance numbers. Second set, love Samson opener (my dogs named Samson), Pocky Way fun, then liftoff, haha. From estimated on it was a continuous stream of auditory bliss. Great dance time with some of my fav folks in the world. Lots of forum friends spotted and hugged, which felt great!!! Thanks band and crew for always putting on a show worth traveling for!

Yes, they both look like people I wouldn’t hang out with.

I was there Bill, but don’t remember running into you,...😂 we mustuv looked a good bit different back then.

When he was 34! 🤣🤣

Brother, I’m glad you cleared up that first sentence with the second sentence. 😂😂😂😂😂

Lots of dead fades in tonight's football game. Is it FOX or Cali or what? Lots during the Fall Classic also.

Filler: white rabbit (shorty version) As high caliber a 3 show run as anybody could ask for. If you look at that setlist above you'll see the dance breaks were LLR and Space, 🥵😅 The execution of the whole event was near flawless in my perception. While I'd still rather be in a spinning dervish of dancers, I am a fan of the drive in concept. Thanks much to the band and crew for their efforts to feed us our fuel!!

From the opener I knew all to come would be awesome. Hard to handle, viola>cumberland, stephen, going down the road, all did it for me! The night was just exactly perfect.

Thank you buddy, was just looking for that list,... 😅🤪 Good to hug your neck! Great set up, very fan friendly. Thanks to band and crew for throwing down a schorcher! Good times, good weather, good peeps, cool venue. Ps: the birdsong let it grow sandwich was fucking awesome to end set 1.

No. Just give it a listen and you'll know why. Hell Jerry couldn't even do it anymore past his 20s. Played maybe a dozen or so times. 2-25-66 is the best recording of it I've found. Hope you're doing good and staying well my brother!!

Cause it's the most gut wrenching Jerry song ever. And I'm happy I turned you on to it 😅. Superb recording thru out. You nailed it bro!

Cause I speak of the pomputus of love, ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So happy for all the shows you're getting Hardpan. You New England fuckers are getting lots of love. Thanks for repping the forums with you're relentless moves. Keep rocking, thanks for the reviews and much love bro!

No Quarter offers lots of room for stylistic interpretation. "Close the door, turn off the lights.."

Would've loved to hear Jerry's take on Little Wing.

I don't even know what the fuck that's supposed to be. You back on the PCP Greg?
-
Ok, I slept on it. After that and input from Greg (thanks for the research Greg), I've made a final decision. 4/29 is best! 🤣🤣
-
Yes, let the people speak. 8-6-71 is a contender, because even if you don't give the nod to 4-29 based on Jerry's work (which you def should), Pig and Phil are so much better in the 4-29 you have to rank it so. My personal opinion is that Jerry's guitar work in that version is the best I've ever heard. It still gives me full body chills after hundreds of listens. Specifically from about 6:00-8:00 is my case. There is a drop from the incredibly high ledge Jerry just took you up to and it's at the 7:20 point. I've not heard another version where he does it that ferocious yet so soothing. Hell if all that don't get the nod, how bout 4/29 being a full minute longer. More Jerry = mo better. I will fight for this show, but not physically or where anybody is mean and hurts somebody's feelings. Let's get a report from Greg.

Fuck that bullshit. Nothing outdoes 4/29/71 HTH. Don't mess with me Ed. I got too much invested in that show to start anew. Maybe I'll start a Facebook group. 🤔.. 🤣

Are we going to get some sort of certificate for enduring this shit? My memory ain't great, I'd like to have a document.. Seeing the CO run go down, now Pisgah, fuuuuuuckkk... Praying for extra effort from the vaccine developers.

🤣love ya AC! I agree with most everything on your list and the others, esp Mitch Hedberg. Didn't know some, I'll check out. Who taught me to laugh? Richard Pryor and Steve Martin. George Carlin and Eddie Murphy. Who do I watch these days, Kat Williams, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tom Segura, Hannibal Burris...couple times a year I'll dial up Chapelle "killing them softly" from DC. A classic.
