About Me

A 31 yr old application developer living in Los Angeles. I grew up in a tiny town(s) in upstate NY and moved to LA via Pittsburgh.

Fell in love with the Grateful Dead in Fall 1996, although I remember hearing the report that Jerry died on the radio like some people remember when JFK was killed. I wasn't even really into the band, but for some reason my heart cried out when I heard that report (premonitions of things to come I guess).

I never got to see the Dead live but poured over their live shows and hung around rec.music.gdead newsgroup trading shows and reading reviews. While in Pittsburgh I taped *every* single Grateful Dead Hour religiously :)

I moved out to LA and realized there was no GD hour, very little local jamband scene, and that most of my favorite touring bands rarely played shows here :( :( :(

Why stay?? Well....Out in the west California town of Los Angeles, I fell in love with a Mexican girl :D

It's Violeta and her daughter Emily that keep me here despite the drought of *good* music :)

Dunno why it took me so long to see DSO, but the two shows in April 09 at the El Rey made me a fan for life.
