  1. 20/08/01 In DeadNation The Still, Timonium, MD Touch of Grey, Ramble On Rose, Rooster, Althea, Train To Cry, MAMU, Big River, Bird Song, Brown Eyed Women, So Many Roads. China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Crazy Fingers, Box of Rain>Other One> Jam>Morning Dew. Fantastic to get some live Dead music for the Big Man's Birthday. Band really hit their stride from the Althea on in the first, the Bird Song a spinning dreamscape , and a credible job done on the SMR. China>Rider mashed and things were rolling along nicely until I felt a few raindrops at the end of the Other One. A bumpy landing ensued, with a ragged Dew ending the night as the rain drops picked up. Damn 2020. Great to see familiar faces, feel family, dance. I believe Jerry would be proud. Praise DSO.
  2. You got some 'xplain' to do. Praise DSO.
  3. Drums from Riverbend. Space (which was amazing) from Centrum. Praise DSO.
  4. Friday night I held the first basement dance party at my house with a friend, appropriate medicines and frozen adult beverages. Plenty of Julie Andrews space during the show and no drive home afterwards. Great fun. First set: 81/05/16 Barton Hall, Ithaca, NY. 2nd set pre drums: 85/06/24 Riverbend Music Center, Cincy, OH 2nd set post drums: 83/10/21 Centrum, Worcester, MA Praise DSO.
  5. Grateful Dead on a tennis court, seriously. Fantastic showbook entry there. I love this. Praise DSO.
  6. 22 men in close sparring does not seem very COVID friendly, the American public will really lose their minds without football. Money will make you do crazy things. Praise DSO.
  7. 92/06/20 RFK Stadium, Washington, DC Cold Rain, Wang Dang Doodle, FOTD, Mexicali>Maggie's Farm, Row Jimmy, Picasso Moon, Tennessee Jed, Promised Land. Corinna>Crazy Fingers>Playin' In the Band>Uncle John's> D>S>Casey Jones>Throwin' Stones>One More Saturday Nite*. E: Baba O'Riley*>Tomorrow Never Knows* with Bruce on accordion Steve Miller opened * with Steve Miller last Casey Jones 84/11/02 [549] Evidence that even in the latter years a monster show could still be had, the boys spin this story at the nation's capital. Always believed out of space the best set list location for a break out, with the locomotive airhorn signalling the Casey. We had a large group on the field and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Praise DSO.
  8. That stinks Rude. This year has been such a cluster F to get some music. My two forays into COVID music have been wrought with complication, the first delivered, but band changes led to a less satisfying experience second time around. I find myself often recalling how amazing our Jubilee was last year. What a blessing. Praise DSO.
  9. 90/06/16 Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, CA LTGTR>Truckin'>Touch, Mama Tried>Big River, FOTD, Cassidy, Big Boss Man, Saturday Nite. China Cat>Rider, We Can Run, Estimated Prophet> Terrapin Station>Jam>D>S>China Doll>Sugar Mags. E: The Weight. A View From the Vault selection, the boys throwing down another solid 90 list. Opening sequence an unexpected trifecta, leading to a money first set. Terrapin epic. Praise DSO.
  10. 20/06/05 In Dead Nation, The Still, Timonium, MD Brown-Eyed Women, Sugaree, All Over Now, Jack-a-Roe, Train to Cry, Truckin'> Big RR Blues. Box of Rain, Scarlet>Fire, Ramble On Rose Good Love>La Bamba>Good Love. Brothers and Sisters, Ripple, Midnight Moodlight. Hooray for live music. Rain devolves a scheduled outdoor parking lot show into a COVID 19 set up of the band in the unopen restaurant section of the bar with the doors opens and the hungry patrons in the lot outside in the drizzle. In what felt like a hallway show, I spent in the evening in the front of the double door entrance to place. A group of about 50 all desperately fed the jones one way or another. Me and Jessica turned that little area in front of the door into portal 5 at the Cap Centre. Felt sooooooo good to dance to live music. Truckin, Big Railroad a juicy combo and the Midnight Moodlight shredded. Praise DSO.
  11. Looks Like Rain will wash out that show. Can not catch a break. Praise DSO.
  12. In Dead Nation at the Still in Timonium, MD on Friday June 5. Outdoor, socially distanced. I hope it goes off, I can not wait. Praise DSO. .
  13. Was on the outside looking in for that one, although the girlfriend found a ticket. Praise DSO.
  14. 89/05/06 Frost Amphitheatre, Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA Jack Straw, Peggy-o, Walkin' Blues, They Love Each Other, Race Is On, West LA, Little Light, Queen Jane, China>Rider. LTGTR, Hey Pocky Way, Samson, Ship of Fools, Playin'> Eyes of the World>D>S>Take You Home>Wheel>Miracle> Wharf Rat>Round and Round>NFA. E: Black Muddy River last Race Is On: 86/05/03 [212] The Boys final appearance at the Frost kicks off with this odyssey of a performance, certainly worthy of the venue in which it was delivered. Beyond the near flawless execution of the show, jewels are scattered throughout the set list- TLEO, Kentucky Derby Race Is On, China>Rider to close set one, Samson on a Saturday. The Big Man dipped his toe in the MIDI world during Space and Take You Home, Steve Parrish handing him a generic white guitar for those segments. This concert stands on the top of the mountain for my Grateful Dead shows. I spent the afternoon on the rail, wide open and absorbing every ounce of energy coming off the stage. We stayed at an old one level half moon hotel with the pool in the middle, it was an open door party late into the night. It was 31 years ago today. Praise DSO.
  15. Dear Rude Dear sml I love and miss you guys. Praise DSO.
  16. After checking the tour books, I had GA floor tickets on Friday and Sunday, reserved seating in the bowl on Saturday Nite, hard to believe they were actually able to enforce that set up. The pre drums on the 12th put a couple gems on the frequency chart, I had to wait until 95/03/19 for another Alabama. Your run in December looks solid on paper, and you had a guest heavy show on Sunday as well. Praise DSO.
  17. Was there in Feb 89 Will check my records. Praise DSO.
  18. Forum in LA was Reserved I believe. Nice dedication AC. Praise DSO.
  19. 90/04/03 The Omni, Atlanta, GA Shakedown, Hell In a Bucket>Sugaree, We Can Run, Masterpiece, Row Jimmy, Picasso Moon, Tennessee Jed, Promised Land. Estimated Prophet>Scarlet Begonias>Crazy Fingers> Playin' In the Band>D>S>Take You Home>GDTRFB> Throwin' Stones>NFA. E: We Bid You Goodnight. Spring 90 tour comes to a close with the third show in Atlanta. Shakedown, Bucket a killer open. The start of We Can Run was a mess, but the rest of the first set solid. Pre drums sequence tasty, and the Throwin' Stones was stomped. It was 30 years ago today. Praise DSO.
  20. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but the Appalachian Trail Conservatory is asking all to stay off the trail in response to COVID-19. https://wildeast.appalachiantrail.org/official-blog/please-stay-off-the-appalachian-trail/ Praise DSO.
  21. Rough for Dead and Company. Not that any of it is gonna happen . Praise DSO.
  22. 90/03/21 Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, ON Half-Step, Minglewood, Far From Me, Queen Jane, Loose Lucy, Victim>Standing on the Moon>Promised Land. Hey Pocky Way, Crazy Fingers>Cumberland, Estimated Prophet>He's Gone>D>S>Miracle>Wharf Rat> Throwin' Stones>Lovelight. E: Knockin' on Heaven's Door The dreamy Spring 90 tour rolls on, as the boys try to shed some fans by going North of the border. Did not stop me, and the eggroll business killed in Hamilton, despite foreign currency issues. Victim>Standing covers some new ground, and the band absolutely hammers the pre drums. It was 30 years ago today. Praise DSO.
  23. If Jerry finds out I'm hooked on the chicken I'm back in there with the red menace. Praise DSO.
  24. 90/03/15 Capital Centre, Landover, MD Jack Straw, Sugaree, Easy to Love You, Walkin' Blues, Althea, Tom Thumb Blues, Tennessee Jed, Cassidy, Don't Ease Me In. Middle show of the jaw dropping three night run at the Cap Centre to kick off the Spring 90 tour. I have worn out these recordings and consider this show the top of the three. It was 30 years ago today. Praise DSO.
  25. If Jubilee happens, I want an accordion solo during the late night entertainment. Praise DSO.
