Samson and Delilah, Crazy Fingers>Playin' in the Band> Terrapin Station>Drums>Space>Gimme Some Lovin'> Standing on the Moon>Throwin' Stones>Not Fade. E: US Blues. Robyn at GDTS, who went to school with me at Maryland and ended up marrying David Lemieux, hooked me up with second row center for this spin in the Windy City. Shakedown epic, plenty of new material, and a hammered pre drums. It was 32 years ago today. Praise DSO.

Only Big Boss Man of 1985. And we have not even mentioned Might As Well, GDTRFB or Althea. Greg from Chestertown, if you were at this one I am forever green with envy. It was 36 years ago today. Blow Away, Estimated Prophet>Crazy Fingers> Uncle John's Band>Drums>Space>Gimme Some Lovin'> Miracle>Stella Blue>Sugar Magnolia. E: Johnny B. Goode>Black Muddy River. last El Paso 87/04/09 [157] Late March/Early April just a lovely time in Grateful Dead land, the boys played on this date every year from 1985-91. This list from the second night in Pittsburgh as spring tour rolled on. First set inverted opener, the Bertha a little slow out of the gate. Nice selections the rest of the way in the first. Second provides a prime example of the machine at work, the pre drums especially stomped. It was 32 years ago today. Praise DSO.

95/04/02 The Pyramid, Memphis, TN Shakedown Street, Same Thing, Althea, Memphis Blues, Tennessee Jed. Promised Land. Here Comes Sunshine, Eternity>Crazy Fingers> Estimated Prophet>Drums>Space>Last Time> Wharf Rat>Not Fade Away. E: Unbroken Chain. Let us bypass the 36 song monster from Boston Garden in 1973 for this performance from the final spring tour. Opening triad spot on, HCS a great set opener and Unbroken #4, the only encore UBC. We were sitting in the tour bus shuttle in the driveway at Graceland when Jerry walked by getting the VIP tour. Needless to say we all lost our marbles. It was 26 years ago today. Praise DSO.

A friend turned me onto them by Recording all of his albums on cassette In the summer of 1986. It was mostly A joyous blur, but I do remember being On line for the Althea and the Truckin'. Praise DSO. We were probably dancing within Feet of each other. I was less lumpy and had more hair. Praise DSO.

Last night Basement Dance Party #6 pierced the silence of a cold, rainy December evening with three sets of Grateful Dead goodness. Textures from all eras consumed, the second set especially electric. The underground dance lab again delivered a journey through the human condition. Great way to start a week off from work, Big Fun. Set One 73/02/26 Lincoln, NB Promised Land, Loser, Jack Straw, Don't Ease, Looks Like Rain, Loose Lucy, Beer Barrel Polka, Big Railroad, Playin' In The Band. 85/11/16 Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, CA Hell In A Bucket>Sugaree>El Paso, Dupree's Diamond Blues, Little Red Rooster, West LA Fadeaway, Let It Grow. Tennessee Jed, Cumberland Blues, I Need A Miracle>Crazy Fingers>D>S>Comes A Time> Gimme Some Lovin'>Truckin'> Black Peter>Good Lovin'. E: Day Job. Another fine example of the wacky good lists being produced in 1985. Only TennJed in the second set from the 80's on, and an opener to boot. The second set especially tasty, check that pre drums. I have found the second set Cumby to be quite righteous, and approve of the post space Truckin'. It was 35 years ago today. Praise DSO.
