71/12/10 Fox Theatre, St. Louis, MO Set One Bertha, Me and My Uncle, Mr. Charlie, Loser, BIODTL, Sugaree, Jack Straw, Next Time, El Paso, Tennessee Jed, Big RR Blues, Casey Jones. Set Two Good Lovin', Brokedown Palace, Playin' in the Band, Run Rudolph Run, Deal, Sugar Magnolia, Comes A Time, Truckin'>Drums>Other One>Sitting on Top of the World>Other One>Not Fade Away>China Cat jam> GDTRFB>Not Fade Away. E: One More Saturday Night. final China Cat jam A show included in the new St. Louis box set. One of the last Top of the Worlds, the Other One sandwich a frequent occurrence in late 1971. Waiting patiently to be played in a BDP. Praise DSO.

Next level analysis there Hardpan. All I know how to do is show up and spin myself silly. Praise DSO.

85/06/25 Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. I wore this tape out and yearned for Day Tripper for years. It took DSO to quench my desire at Frederick 25 years later. Praise DSO.

Let me help you Northeast, Shakedown. I'll stand by you on the Jack Straw. Praise DSO.

89/06/19 Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, CA Set One Feel Like A Stranger>Franklin's Tower, Walkin' Blues, Candyman, We Can Run, Push Comes to Shove, Memphis Blues, Bird Song. Set Two China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider>Playin' In the Band>Crazy Fingers>Playin' In the Band>Drums> Space>Take You Home>Watchtower>Black Peter> Throwin' Stones>Not Fade Away. E: Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Filler: White Rabbit. Southern Winter tour concludes with this lovingly executed recreation. End of tour energy permeates the entire show. Monster opening duo, the Stranger jam a whirlwind. I moved to the back during the Candyman and was dancing with a little redheaded girl during "it belongs to children of our children kids" of We Can Run, Dead magic in the air. Bird Song its usual epic self, the primary jam a complete disengage from mortal ground. The pre drums laid down with grand precision, the in/out of the Crazy Fingers back into Playin' flawless. I have heard few Take You Homes from DSO, maybe never, this one appropriate, with just Rob and Jeff on stage. Black Pete a pin dropper, and the Throwin'>NFA delivered with conviction. Knockin' another end of tour theme selection and Lisa blows the doors off with the filler. After struggling a little to find my place, I met a fantastic group of kids at set break, and we had an amazing time in the second. McKenzie, Logan, I love you. Great tour band and crew, much thanks. Sorry for the lateness of the post as yesterday was driving day. Praise DSO.

71/12/04 Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden, New York, NY Set One Truckin', Sugaree, Mr. Charlie, BIODTL, Tennessee Jed, Jack Straw, Run Rudolph Run, You Win Again, Bobby McGee, Comes a Time, Smokestack Lightning, Cumberland Blues, One More Saturday Nite. Set Two Ramble On Rose, Me & My Uncle>Other One> Mexicali>Other One>Wharf Rat, Casey Jones. E: Johnny B. Goode. Filler: Loose Lucy, Tangled Up In Blue. 50th anniversary of this performance from NYC. Big crowd and a plethora of energetic dancers occupied the second floor of the joint. Typical 71 fare, love Mr. Charlie, interesting placement of the Comes A Time, the closing triad a sweeping panoramic of color and spin. Have been hoping to catch the Smokestack and got the stand alone one here, which killed Pig style. After dipping a toe in the water for a pair in the second, Other One realizes full power, slowed temporarily by the Mexicali. By the Casey things had cleared out, we had an amazing group left on the dance floor that gobbled new found real estate. Exceptional filler, Jeff really nails Tangled and thought of Tea several times during that one. Great fun. On to St Petersburg. Praise DSO.

2021/12/04 Revolution Live at the Backyard Setlist?
BillK522 replied to GoodBear's topic in Tour Information Hub
They did an elective last night, probably a recreation tonight. Enjoy the show. Praise DSO. -
Original Recipe. Shakedown Street, Minglewood Blues, Peggy-o, Passenger, Brown-Eyed Women, Sunrise, Black Throated Wind, Tom Thumb Blues, CC Rider> Takes a Lot to Laugh, Music Never Stopped. Jack Straw, Foolish Heart>Corinna>He's Gone> Got My Mojo Workin'>Drums>Imagine Space> Eyes of the World>Unbroken Chain>China Doll> Good Lovin'. E: Revolution Friday beach night in Fort Lauderdale feels strangely like the Bottle and Cork in Delaware, chopped up venue, tight and full of gawkers. Shakedown Street out of the chute glorious, Black Throated a little extra juice, the first set a workingman's special, still thoroughly enjoyable. Corinna again kills (love that song), the band saved the best for last, the Eyes>UBC>China Doll sequence inspirational. Revolution a cute encore for the venue. Rick, Whit, and I held the fort down upstairs all evening and had security and bartenders dancing throughout the show. We were having too much fun. Rest up and see you on Saturday Night. Praise DSO.

Have yet to see them, and have very little desire to do so. They have kept the family at GDP fed for years, and probably feel some obligation to do so, much like Jerry did. I doubt Bob will ever shut it down, as the road is his home. Praise DSO.

Good grief.

84/07/13 Greek Theater, Berkeley, CA Set One Bertha>Greatest Story, Dire Wolf, CC Rider, Loser, Cassidy, Dupree's Diamond Blues, Hell In a Bucket>Might As Well. Set Two Scarlet Begonias>Touch of Grey>Fire on the Mountain, Women Are Smarter>Drums>Space The Wheel>I Need A Miracle>Stella Blue> Sugar Magnolia. E: Dark * Star. last Dark Star 81/12/31 [167] shooting star during Dark Star. While a follow up to the insanity Atlanta Saturday Night would be tough to find, a pretty significant Grateful Dead performance is a fabulous starting point. Solid efforts by all, special shout out to Jeff tonight for tackling all that Jerry material with competence and flair. Crazy venue set up, I spent the evening dancing on a raised metal platform, with brief spurts of wood chips. Solid versions throughout the first, the closing triad especially strong and Might As Well the foreshadowing, although I didn't know for sure until the Touch. As mentioned Jeff was front and center in the second, the transition back to the Fire silky. Skip's bomb dropping helped draw the Star, which was lovely, right up to the curfew, so darn no filler. Enjoy a couple days off band and crew. Praise DSO.

Original Recipe. Set One Truckin', Second That Emotion, Ain't It Crazy (The Rub), Mama Tried, Big Railroad Blues, Hard to Handle, Dark Hollow, Pride of Cucamonga>King Bee>Pride of Cucamonga, Casey Jones. Set Two Cumberland Blues, Big Boy Pete, Big Boss Man, Cryptical> Drums>Other One>Cryptical>Wharf Rat>St. Stephen> Goin' Down the Road>Lovelight. E: Johnny B. Goode. Our band delivered the goods. The all powerful Elective reaches new heights in Atlanta. You keep going to shows to catch an evening like this one. I was giggling typing the list, I mean look at that masterpiece. Where to begin, a Pig night to be sure. First set reaches flawlessly delivered, the sandwich, filling. After a great jump to the second, the business really picked up during the BBP/BBM combo. I thoroughly lost my marbles on that pair. Other One an epic journey, Stephen transcendental, the Pig Lovelight complete with all scat covered by Rob. Thanks band and crew. See you in Orlando. Praise DSO.

78/05/17 Uptown Theatre, Chicago, IL Half Step>Franklin's Tower, Me and My Uncle>Big River, Must Have Been the Roses, Looks Like Rain, Tennessee Jed, Lazy Lightning>Supplication. Samson and Delilah, Friend of the Devil, Dancin' in the Streets> Family Drums>Space>Terrapin Station>Not Fade Away, Round and Round. E: Werewolves of London. FIller: Box of Rain, How Sweet It Is. Southern tour begins with riches of dance space along with forum attendees who knew what to do with it. Opening duo heavenly, Lazy>Supp set close a scorcher. Second set silky smooth, everyone in on the drums, Terrapin inspired. Skip, who killed all night, took the NFA to some new ground. Great start to the tour. Sat. Nite Elective? Love you all. Praise DSO.

Shakedown Street, Lost Sailor>Saint of Circumstance> Terrapin Station>D>S>Truckin'>Other One> Morning Dew>Sugar Magnolia. E: Baby Blue. Looks good on paper. 12 song first, nice. 79/11/05 The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Cassidy, Friend of the Devil, El Paso, Passenger, Stagger Lee, Peggy-o, Music Never Stopped. Althea, Easy to Love You, Eyes of the World>Estimated Prophet>Franklin's Tower>Drums>Space>Lost Sailor> Saint of Circumstance>Sugar Magnolia. E: Casey Jones. The China Cat opener a thing on Late Fall 79 tour, happening three times. Nice start to the show. Second set loaded with GTH material, second set opener Althea a first, a total of four, the other three occurring in 1980. Stand alone Franklin's and Bob packed post space. It was 42 years ago today. Praise DSO.

Many choices in the early years. 71/10/31 Ohio Theatre, Columbus, OH. Enjoy the show. Praise DSO.

77/10/29 Evans Field House, NIU, DeKalb, IL Might As Well, Jack Straw, Dire Wolf, Looks Like Rain, Loser, El Paso, Ramble On Rose, Minglewood, Must Have Been the Roses, Let It Grow. Bertha>Good Lovin', Friend of the Devil, Estimated Prophet>Eyes of the World>Space>Drums>St. Stephen>Not Fade Away>Black Peter> Sugar Magnolia. E: One More Saturday Nite. Today brings this performance in the middle Fall 77 tour. The boys are really dialed in on this night, killer versions and energy throughout, an deserted island show for sure. The entire show has revealed itself at BDPs, (post Drums BDP3, pre drums BDP8, first set BDP15). Is Dave's Picks 33. Gold, Jerry, Gold. It was 44 years ago today. Enjoy the Revue in Denver this evening. Praise DSO.

Who knew about these new OT rules? I saw PSU/IL 20-18 in 9OT and was like WTF? BTW: Alabama's student section has talent. Praise DSO.

90/10/24 Sport Halle, Hamburg, Germany Feel Like A Stranger, Cold Rain and Snow, Little Red Rooster, They Love Each Other, Me and My Uncle>Big River, West LA Fadeaway, Queen Jane, Iko. Help on the Way>Slipknot>Franklin's Tower, Truckin'>He's Gone>D>S>I Need A Miracle> The Wheel>Goin' Down the Road>Round and Round. E: US Blues. We reach the halfway point of the Europe 90 tour, with a slightly ragged performance at what that night felt like a tiny room. I cherish several memory burn moments from this show, which was spent on the rail wide open and absorbing every ounce of energy from the stage. Praise DSO.

Little feet opened for the boys Oxford 88. Was chasing the Shakedown, took until Berkeley. Praise DSO.

83/10/15 Hartford Civic Center, Hartford, CT Feel Like A Stranger, Dire Wolf, Minglewood, Brown-Eyed Women, Big RR Blues, Let It Grow, Day Job. China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Playin' In the Band>China Doll>Drums>Space> St. Stephen>Throwin' Stones>One More Sat. Night. E: Brokedown Palace. Stephen #2 of the 83 breakouts, a total of 3 plays before the song was reshelved. (MSG, Hartford, Marin County Auditorium) A touring friend's first two shows were MSG and this show, he told the story of asking friends after this performance "What, do they play this St. Stephen song every show?" We should be that lucky. It was 38 years ago today. Praise DSO.
